The Grand Trunk Western GP9R diesel-electric locomotives were always in the GTW number series that fit into the larger CN number series from the start. They have been both GTW and CN diesel at the same time. They could be swapped between the two railroads whenever needed. They are still using the GTW road numbers. Check the CNcyclopedia for the retired roster and the all time roster. The Diesel Shop also has a roster for GTW.
