People need to earn a LIVING WAGE - wages have been stagnant since 1970s - this must change before anything else will

We might not need to fund as much affordable housing if we outlaw corporate landlords and make gouging illegal.

We have a serious problem up here in El Dorado County as well. If you ever want to include them or maybe point me in the right direction to address the issue, I'd be incredibly grateful. ✌️

Hi, my story is one of leaving a domestic abusive relationship as the woman in the video. Her story struck me. Where our stories differ is that she has been able to follow some steps that I'd like to inquire on, as (I see at the end of video, she and her children have been housed- thankfully!). I am still unhoused, looking for a means to have private shelter and have been shuffled between state/county caseworkers. The most help I've received (thankfully also) is being given a hotel voucher for 3 weeks. I am currently going through vocational training to try to rebuild my financial status for the sake of gaining stable work, to at least get into a roommate situation. I am suffering health wise and the homeless living is taking a toll on my abilities unexpectedly. I need safe shelter still, shelter where I have private quarters to study, shower, study some more, have hot water, hot meals. How do I find the laws to help a single woman/ no dependents/ attending school to better skillsets for obtaining work/not a veteran/ a domestic abuse survivor/falling ill

Section8 many landlords wont take ca law sais theyre not suppsed to discriminate against the poor disabled yet they do they fear all homeless will tear their property apart and thats simply not so
@MS-191715 күн бұрын
That program requires them to upkeep the property and they (landlords) dont want to do that. i font have section 8 or any vouchers and they still don't do any repairs or maintenance. Many are slumlords!!!

@@FRANCISPOLLARD-r3p we can afford housing for all, we’re just spending it on blowing up apartments and hospitals in Gaza instead. I’m not bullshitting: housing for all Americans is estimated to cost $30 billion. The military is getting close to a trillion, that’s $1,000,000,000,000 annually. $30 billion is less than 1/30th of that. That’s how little of a fuck the ruling class gives about working people for fall on hard times.

@@FRANCISPOLLARD-r3p, don't need that. We just need strong unions to fight for workers
