PLEASE, release those songs you have sitting on the shelf or as Nathan Watts put it, "in the can". I've heard some of your unreleased songs you sang at your concert like, "You Were My First But Not My Last", "I Think I'm On The Right Track", "Reflections Of You", "This Town (It's Not The Same)", "Why", "It's Growin", "I'm a Man", "When You've Lost Your Way In This World", & many others. I've even heard a few snippets of unfinished tracks of you singing the phrasing or melody of a song on KZbin that sounded way better than 99% of the music being played today. I've heard interviews of you talking about how you would like for your fans to hear the making of your songs & how you would just hum or sing out melodies that didn't have words because you thought we would better understand what you were after when creating the song. "All In Love Is Fair" started out as "Stop looking at your chinnnn. The feeling's deep withinnnn. That all in love iiiiis--- FAAAAAAAAAIR." And "Old Little Lady" became "Golden Lady". As an Iowan, I’m heavily disappointed with what the political system has become of this state. I rarely get political for obvious reasons, but this is one of those few moments where I’ll express my perspective on things. We have become so politically motivated that tensions have risen to threatening levels on several occasions over the last 6-8 years. The power to the people has only become more consolidated in this state as the system is even more controlling than ever before. Several left leaning citizens have felt hopeless in this instance, and even more people like me who just turn 18, have become scared to vote due to potential backlash or other altercations as aware as we are about making a difference. I am glad but also disappointed to see that it’s not just us seeing Iowa’s system deteriorate. There’s many great people you can meet in this state, just not enough of a balance to represent what this state could be capable of doing with its power. I am sorry that people have to see Iowa like this, and I can only hope it changes for the better as I leave for college.
