This ending devastated me the first time I saw it. Upon leaving the theater, I had to stop my car for a moment before driving any more. I still can’t believe Zac Effron was not nominated for an Oscar.

This one is for the guys - brothers, fathers, sons, husbands, partners etc. We need this. And our problems will never be fixed until we learn to deal with our emotions.

I agree I remember first watching it, and didn’t think it would like this, but as I re watch I think that’s the point, the message was to show even though they had some success, the only living brother realized that success doesn’t mean anything without those who you care about, the brothers reached success cause the bond they shared with each other which even the father couldn’t understand cause he never was emotionally there for them when they needed it. I think it was a great scene that was talking to men saying how as men we shouldn’t be ashamed of our emotions and should embraced them cause at the end day it’s all about the people you care about which meant slot to him and the brothers

As someone who is also not a brother anymore, this ending hit me like a truck. It's a uniquely painful kind of loneliness that is hard to describe (and impossible to get over), and this scene captured it perfectly.

What's also tragic about this end scene is that Kevin/Zac said in earlier in the movie what he wanted in life was to own a ranch not just for his family, but also for his brothers and their families so everyone can have a place to call home. Well he basically got the ranch, but his brothers are gone from the picture.

The movie absolutely broke my soul. I grew up watching Kevin and Kerry Von Erich wrestle. This movie was beautifully done, and everyone played their parts perfectly. I'm just glad that Kevin Von Erich got his happy ending on his farm with his family and, more recently, watching his sons grow up to become the ring of honor 6 man tag team champions.

Ross and Marshall are 2 of the brightest talents coming up today in professional wrestling. Hopefully, they carry the legacy on for years to come. Good, strong young men with families of their own now. They all live in Hawaii now with Kevin on a ranch as a big family. It's beautiful. Not exactly how Kevin imagined it, but I'm sure he's proud, and his brothers are proud they're all together.

The Iron Claw takes place during the era of World Class Championship Wrestling. This was the territory of Fritz Von Erich and his sons. This was the era of Harley Race, Ric Flair, The Great Kabuki, Bruiser Brody, Kamala, The Missing Link and The Fabulous Freebirds. Rest in Peace Texas Tornado.

Okay here is my thoughts and opinion on the movie the iron claw first of all I have to give credit to Zack Efron he did a fantastic job now let ,s get the nitty-gritty of this movie the von Eric's father was a piece of work okay especially Kerry von Eric he knew that his son wanted to be supported and loved by his father but his father only cared about championship belts and money I truly believe that the von Eric's family was definitely cursed plus almost at the end of the movie when Kerry von Eric when he meets his brothers in the after life I could not stop crying I mean I literally cried like a newborn baby getting spanked for the first time plus the thing that pissed off me the most is when the von Eric's father came home from work and after losing his son Kerry von Eric and he had the nerve to ask his wife what, s for his dinner this movie truly dives in into toxic family dynamics no matter what race you are i through the whole movie was entertaining and emotional hopefully if you are a famous person or not it just goes to show it's always the people that are closest to you that can do the most damage

The real story is actually worse. They completely erased another brother who also killed himself.

@@theoxigenoexperience I prefer a supposed biographical film to tell the whole story and not completely erase a person who existed and died. They even removed him from the “real” photo of the family at the end. They also removed Kerry having kids and a wife. It just felt like a very superficial version of the real story.

One thing which I am truly disappointed with in this film is how they portrayed fritz as the reason for all the chaos. That's not true. Mike, Chris and Kerry died because they were unhappy with their lives. Fritz was a tough sum bitch and I don't say he was an angel, but that man lost 5 sons. Can you believe what it would have done to his mental health? Even Kevin after this movie came said that he loved his father very much. He was not a bully and he maintained a decoram in his house and that is the reason they were so close as a family. The movie shouldn't have portrayed Fritz as the root of all problems.

Someone is to blame for all of this happening…you don’t lose all those people without a reason, and sure you can say they were unhappy with their lives, but why??
@jantukumar
@jantukumar 8 ай бұрын
@@collegebro85 everyone was going through some trauma. After David, Mike died coz he never wanted to join the business. And when he did, injuries and its side effects took a toll on him. He never was able to fill the void David left. Chris died coz he wanted to join his brothers. But, he didn't had that size and also the asthma medications he was taking, made his bones brittle. Injuries happened to him and he himself went down that downward spiral. Kerry just put too much pressure on himself. He was never in the right mind after his brothers one by one were going off. Above all this drug usage became a main problem for him. I again say I don't say Fritz didn't had any hands in this dilemma, but to accuse solely him is a bit of an injustice. Kevin himself on a podcast said that he was not that happy with his father's portrayal in the movie and he's writing a book where he will clear all the facts and hopefully a picture would likely be made on it.

Fritz was a piece of shit. He defrauded all his wrestlers as well. Remember that they said in the movie that they didn’t make nearly the amount of money that they should’ve. That was because it is believed that Fritz Von Erich was cooking the books and stealing from everyone.
@erniewyles8832

Fritz was shown as the common denominator in all the boys' lives, to varying degrees with each son. He had a hand in the outcome but wasn't the primary reason. And none of the boys directly blamed their father for their lives in the movie either. BUt he indeed did have something to do with all the boys' psyches and traumas. Again, a common denominator.
