As we were leaving on our missions in aug 1970 Elder Harold B Lee spoke to us in the Salt Lake Temple with his scriptures before him. He said we could ask any question on our minds about the gospel. For every question asked he turned directly to the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price to answer the gospel question. Every word of this talk rings true because he lived what he preached.

There is an old talk in the ensign magazine that mentions a old Egyptian papyrus. This papyrus talks about God and Jesus having a conversation in the pre existence. It mentions Jesus crying before him coming to earth. Does anyone know the name of this talk?

Yup. Just like the Nephites met the people of Zarahemla, there were many people who they met that were not the same as them. That’s why they kept saying, I having been taught in the language of my fathers wouldn’t say that if they all came from the same people. You don’t announce that you learned to speak English while living in America unless there are other options. There were lots of different people but the Book of Mormon is about mostly only one kind.

Interestingly, both Jewish and Native American leaders have recently compared their ancient records and discovered they are of the same family. They have come forward with a proclamation to share this with the world.
