The Ironic Partscaster: Cuts Like A Knife

This is an Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster Body and and 50's AVRI neck, the irony of which is, that Eric's Signature guitar is a copy of his own Partscaster:-) The neck needed some serious love. Sharp frets, bowed neck... but it all came out well. Irony is, we both much MUCH prefer this over a stock Eric Clapton Strats. Little bit taller frets are so much nicer than the barely there ones on the stock signature guitar. We both though this was a HUGE improvement to the EC signature guitar.

Good looking guitar. I did a partscaster a few years back, 2014 Clapton body in Pewter, '13 American Std neck with LSR roller nut & locking tuners and EMG SA pups with EXG & SPC (originals, not the rebranded Gilmour DG-20's). Awesome guitar

What did the neck stamp reveal? Was the neck legit? Don’t you normally tape the sides of the neck / fretboard to protect the wood on the side of the fretboard when using a block file to take care of fret sprout?

Noiseless Fender Vintage passive pickups. That said, the Db Boost in EC circuit uses a 9v battery... It lasts forever... It's an awesome setup, also has the TBX tone control, gives you so many tonal options... 👍😎👍

On the Scamcaster I wish you had not disabled the comments as you could possibly spare otgers with things like the dude's name. When these scammers are not revealed...they continue. A lot of people just cannot afford hits like that. Also, I am betting you helped your friend (I have done stuff like this for many "taken" friends.) by a better fee which means you were taken by that dude as well. And.... GOOD FOR YOU MAN. He had three Strats left after giving a few away to friends that he purchased in New York City and he asked his guitar tech to use a body from one, and the neck from another and to use the best hardware from the three and make a guitar. Blackie was born.

Nobody ever encounters the fret ends when playing. Never ever. Try it. It's a scam. Or the "comfortable" neck shape in the palm. Never the back of the neck touches the palm ever.
