The Island Line is BACK with New Trains!

I went on the Island line a couple years ago for the first time, and missed my chance to ride on the 1938 stock... but these are definitely an upgrade for accesibility and reliability purposes. Good video!

After having ancient trains for so long, it is a stark contrast! Do these count as new trains though? Considering they're just refurbished D78s? It's an interesting debate. I'd argue that they've been so heavily refurbished that they may as well be new trains!

Some lines definitely did need to be trimmed back, but a heck of a lot of the closures should never have happened!

Are they? A lot of them still have BR branding (though that's not too obvious in this video!) Anyway, the ones that do have SWR branding would be because this is SWR territory!
