Sure, they are moderately successful in their own right, but ask yourself the question as to why they never shaped up or were heard or praised for their talents post the Victory Tour in the mid 80's. So much of the dances that MJ was doing was choreographed by Marlon and Jackie and Randy. MJ was the front man but that is what the brothers wanted. Had Jermaine been in the group, he would have shared the lead just like he did in J5. If you wanna say MJ sang most of the lead then, well Berry Gordy did have bigger things for Jermaine then, apart from him marrying his daughter.

I'm actually old enough to remember the 1st Jackson 5 album in 1969. Been a fan of them as a group, and of course Michael since then. When Michael passed it was like the end of an era, although for me I would have felt the same if it was any of them. Remembering the albums, 45s, TV appearances, and Right On magazine :-), it was about all of the brothers although the spotlight was clearly on Michael from the beginning. I thought it would be great if there was a Jacksons concert with the brothers and Janet singing with them in place of Michael. It would be good for the fans and a great way to honor the memory of Michael and the musical history of the Jackson 5.
