I’m 24 but was raised on this type of music and I’m just gonna say we will never ever, get this type of cohesion , harmony , and rhythm within a group ever. This was a special time in music and you can see the MJ starting to bubble out of Michael because he couldn’t contain it, that supernatural talent was within him. The Press and curl Jacksons weren’t appreciated enough.

@@dewaynebell2705 oh I forgot about the temptations! , I spent a lot of time with the elders in my family growing up , so I grew up listening to a lot of old school music and one of my favorite childhood movies is the temptations ,so I know all the dance moves lol! The temptations and Jackson’s American dream are the best biographical movies in my opinion. If people don’t know how great these groups are, then I’d highly suggest to start with these two movies to start off.

Michael’s voice change was almost complete by this point. He almost sounds like his “Jacksons” era here. On another note, “Whatever, you Got I want” was meant for a Michael Jackson solo LP that didn’t work out so they added it to the Jackson 5 LP, “Dancing Machine”.

At 6:02 when Johnny asked if they are friends with The Osmonds, Michael stares 😑 at Johnny for a few seconds as if he were thinking, how dare you Fkin ask us about The Osmonds. Thing about it is that you could tell when Johnny asked each of them their ages, you could hear the frustration in Michael's voice. The whole TV scene he would later say he just didn't like it all... DESTINY was such an amazing album. Every song was great. I had it on 8-track. I didn't skip one single song. I played that tape so much that it popped. I was so heartbroken. My mother's boyfriend at the time told me he would replace the tape for me with the album. When he bought me the album, it wasn't DESTINY. I was bewildered and a little disappointed. I mean, how is it that he confused DESTINY with ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE? But, hey, it was Michael, and I was introduced to songs I hadn't heard before, so I wasn't TOOOOOO disappointed.
