The Jacobite. Fort William, Glenfinnan Viaduct & Mallaig.

After finishing the West Highland Way, the current Mrs D said she would meet me at the finish as long as she could go on The Jacobite steam train. She loves them, she thinks she’s in an Agatha Christie murder mystery when she’s on one.
Have to say, it was so, so good and the people working there are absolutely brilliant. After the cancelling problem they had earlier in 2024 (we had a booking but it was one of the ones cancelled) we luckily managed to get a First Class out and a Standard Class back.
It felt like a really lovely end to a fantastic week and a bit, and I got to see even more fantastic scenery…oh and of course there’s Harry Potter!
