The Japanese Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé - Car Stories

The Shelby Cobra Daytona is arguably one of the most significant American racing cars ever made. Already using the at the time very successful Shelby Cobra chassis, Carroll Shelby set out to create a more aerodynamic racing machine, without compromising the very impressive performance that came with the Shelby Cobra already. Thus the Cobra Daytona Coupé was born.
This video focuses on chassis CSX2300, one of the more mysterious of the 6 Cobra Daytona's. We've dug up the entirety of the cars racing history, which includes its adventures in Japan from 1966 to the late 70s.
