This was my mom’s favorite song. She abruptly passed away from an aneurysm when I was 18 and had only moved away to college 2 months prior. This song has gotten me through some hard times, but more importantly it keeps my mother’s memory as alive and vibrant as ever thank you, Jayhawks

I get it. My mom suddenly got COPD in her thirties and passed away within a couple years. She seemed fine one day, never had to need oxygen or anything yet, then two weeks later she was gone at 38yo. I turned 39 this year and still have a hard time seeing people interact with their mom. She was a huge Stevie Ray Vaughn fan and to this day I can't hear his version of "Little Wing" without crying, because it was her favorite song.

The bridge of this song still gives me chills after listening to it a hundred times or more. Two lead vocals, both singing different words and melodies, soaring off in different directions until finally, they reach a crescendo and head into the final chorus, united once more. One of the most brilliant and awe inspiring moments in any song.

First heard this song on the radio while driving from Pittsburgh, PA to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the late 90s. My wife and I packed up everything we owned and moved down there in our 20s. We lived there 2 years right near the beach.. Had a blast.. Can't hear this song without thinking about that time in our lives. Being young and carefree. Just the two of us venturing out and finding our way together.

This is the perfect song! Took me forever to find out who it was. There was this funny show that they cancelled right in the middle called " People Of Earth" I heard them playing this song on that show one night and I started trying to find out who did the song. Jayhawks, you have the perfect song.

IOh man, the Jayhawks, I was a guitar builder in Minneapolis in the 80s and loved to go down to the West Bank and dig the bands, the Jayhawks got their start at the Viking Bar at Cedar and Riverside. Their music is soaring and become so refined

Recorded this song off the radio when I was 12 Years old in 1995 and played it all the time, lost the tape, and could never find it. I searched online when the Internet got more popular "Blue" was the only word I could remember from the lyrics. I could never find the song. I am sitting on the phone today, 28 years later and heard a familiar tune in the background on our Sonos system and the lyrics popped right into my head.. "Hey Siri, what song is this?"....and here I am 28 years since hearing it last. Always bothered me I couldn't find it. So glad I finally have!!!!
