I'm so sorry to Toni & Donna. That's heartbreaking. I came to comment on here bcuz my husband & I had this as our wedding song & it's our 33rd anniversary. I'm so lucky to still have him. Five yrs ago he had a heart attack, they put a stent in. Then recently he has chest pain, burning, shortness of breath & he went to the hospital. They needed to put a new stent in, the old one was completely blocked & he was in the verge of another heart attack. Now he has a valve condition & will need a couple of valves replaced. I feel so bad for him. He's a great guy, an amazing husband, father, Grampa, son, brother, & friend. I am hoping to celebrate our 50th someday. 🙏💕😍💑👫💏

I have been married to my sweetheart for 52 years and I love her more every second of every minute, of every hour, of every day, of every year!!!! She was 17 and I was 20 when I married my angel. Now we are in the winter of our lives and I thank God every day she turned her angels eyes my way.

Ed C ~ Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful love story with all of us. Reminds me so much of my great grandparents ~ who I was so fortunate to have grown up around them and all of my wonderful family ~ They also married young as it was done back in the day ~ They married as teens and were together forever ~ to have grown up around that kind of pure love was a true blessing for me, personally. Great grammie and grampie both lived to be in their late ninety's ~ So beautifully said "The winter of our lives" as I live in Northern Maine (Presque Isle) Been here going on 21 years now and the longest I've ever lived anywhere as I truly have a nomadic soul. When I seen you say "The winter of our lives" ~ They winters are truly long here and I just turned 61 this past March and the winters are getting rough on me and then, I stop and think of my great grandparents who lived their entire lives here ~ with a huge family surrounding them ~ they survived it and never heard them complain not one time ever about the winters ~ So, I'm going to take a page from their book and realize that every minute God grants me is a minute I will never take for granted. Thank you, once again for sharing such a beautiful story of pure love. Enjoy together ~ The winter of your lives ~ God Bless both of you today (Mothers' Day 2021) and every minute you have to cherish and love one another. ♥ +

Back in the day, you actually had to know how to play an instrument (or several), know how to sing and be a good singer, be a good entertainer and put on a good show and do it for far less than these jokes of today. We did have a great relationship for many yrs, but of course we had our ups & downs like all relationships do. I will always love you DM, wish life would have turned out different. Word to from experience. Never allow your mother-in-law to help be the demise of your marriage. Real talk ladies (& men) There are many mother's who will stop at nothing to get their way. Don't let them win if you really love your significant other/spouse. I really couldn't deal with it anymore after 30 yrs & it wasn't for lack of me trying. Ty for this song "Angel Eyes" ❤

Amen. I've loved this song since it came out in the '80s and revisit it on KZbin from time to time. When I began to deal with vision loss due to a degenerative corneal disease 10 years ago, Jeff Healey became a true rock star. His story is tragic, but his music lives on. He is indeed an inspiration to many, including myself, who is seeing the world better with one not-so-fun corneal transplant thus far and one to go. I'll never have 20/20 uncorrected vision again (or maybe even corrected), but I'm grateful to not be where I was a few years ago. To everyone with advanced keratoconus, you can do it and it really can be worse.

Laying here in bed with the memories of this song, so much so, I had to listen again. My husband, along with his sister and friends called me in the middle of the night and sang this to me. And I crumbled. And I said yes. And we started dating. And we moved in with each other within a few months. 5 years later we married. Everyday was pure happiness. 20 years later, I became a widow. In a blink of an eye. Let the one you love know it every day. You don’t know if you’ll ever get a second chance.

@@malkneilThat may be true, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. Though you should really takes some time to think about where does everything in the Universe come from, and how do living things exist and create more living things. It's pretty incredible how all living things work so perfectly and serve a purpose, even all the way down to bacteria. Maybe there's a God and angels and all that, or maybe there's not...But something is in control. She can believe what she wants, like you can believe what you want. There's no right or wrong.
