Probably a hot take: The Xenomorph is just a more polished version of the Demogorgon. Both use tunnels to get around the map, both have a special attack, both are sci-fi licenced killers, both can detect survivor thanks to the tunnels. It also makes sense, since they cannot sell Demogorgon anymore.

Nah as a p100 Demogorgon who’s now a Xeno main. (I have to state my credentials) Xeno and Demogorgon are different enough, and their abilities have different pros/cons.Xenos probably a bit better but doesn’t just outclass Demo in every way like he’s made out to be. The Portals give stealth and you could chose where to put them allowing stealth tactics that Xeno can’t do because of pre determined spawns. Demo portals also act like a radar for everything around it which makes it also usable as a defense and tracking tool which Xeno can’t do, but Xenos tunnels have no cooldown, are always available and let you see footsteps. Shred has a longer range, and shorter cooldown than the tail but it can’t hit over objects, and isn’t constantly charged like Xenos. Also Demo can’t be taken out of his power like Xeno can. Overall they’re about equal and one isn’t outright better than the other

@@poissonsumac7922 They’re hardly similar at all. Their only similarities is that they both have map traversal options and a ranged m2, both of which work entirely differently from one another. The Shred and tail play entirely differently, and the portals/tunnels share no similarities except getting you quickly from one point to another.

The killer power being simple and the killer being easy to pick up is not a bad thing to be honest not every killer needs to force you to use 4d Machiavellian schemes to win the match sometimes you just want to hop on and enjoy yourself ( I know enjoying yourself in DBD? Impossible)

Kinda lore accurate even if that's a bit weird forgive me if I'm mistaken but I think they were stated as being blind in an alien comic so I imagine they have an enhanced sense of hearing so that's why you can see where the footsteps are while in the tunnels, similar to echolocation. obviously the killer itself can't be blind but if it's hinting toward it I find that pretty cool.

I mean, it is a complex piece of machinery that would also have to have a loaded fuel tank in order to function. Also, I imagine they didn't want survivors being able to haul these around during chase and, perhaps, set one up while the Xeno is animation locked to force it out of crawler mode without any chance for counterplay.

You can also notice that the vents are not 1 to 1 with the map. With the underground being much smaller than the actual map. Suggesting that the underground is another sub-section that is created from medium sized areas around the entrances and connected to the exits on the surface so you do TECHNICALLY teleport.

Rapid brutality is also great for killers like wraith who can get the first hit super easily. You throw it and stbfl on him and it becomes hard for survivors to last more than 10 seconds

Lucky star covers you longer than it takes to use inner strength, if you manage to hide just long enough to get an extra hit while running these two perks, I think you're pretty cool.

If you run Lucky Star+Inner Healing+Parental Guidance its actually pretty common. I use these as my Head On build so I can pallet stun, proc parental, hop into a locker, proc Lucky Star, hopefully heal up, if not you can Head On, which procs Parental Guidance again.

Floods of Rage, Make Your Choice, Dark Devotion and Hysteria are a mean build with cats carrier and star map cause you can easily dip after a hook and reenter with enough time to find the unhooked while carrier let's you sneak up on them healing for an easy exposed down. But Decimated Borgo has busted fences and hay bales that have meter high invis walls.

Blindness also hard counters Object of Obsession, for the 3 survivors still running it after Ultimate Weapon went live anyways. It's a nice boon to have when a SWF squad has an Object user reporting on you all game, as you now have a guaranteed easy chase target.

I’m pretty new to the game and decided to grab Alien, I’m not sure if this is a good combo at all but I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, I’ve been running Ultimate Weapon and Distressing so whenever I open a locker now that my terror Radius is 26% bigger somebody is gonna scream and give themselves up even if I’ve got to walk a few meters to get in range, and I can only imagine how frustrating it is on the other end it’s pretty much like a mini doc ability on top of the tail whip and crawler mode too

Blindness gets a bad rap, but when you consider that Windows of Opportunity is currently by far the most used survivor perk in the game, Blindness hard-counters that perk. Knowing that Blindness I inflict is probably negating at least 1 or 2 survivor perks per match is by itself enough for me to use perks or add-ons that can inflict it. 🙂 And I do like using Third Seal, especially on killers with special attacks (e.g. Alien's tail attack, Huntress hatchet, Victor in the Twins) since it allows those special attacks to inflict Blindness. I'll never claim Blindness is a game winning effect or anything, but I do think when you consider Windows of Opportunity being as common as it is it makes Blindness kind of attractive to me.

it is pretty good but I dont really seem to get a lot of value out of it, unlike the purple keyboard, which pretty much shows survivor locations for the entire duration of the trial as they are probably working on those gens that are lit up. and imo, preventing the generator from popping is way more important than knowing where survivors know after its been popped.

I will die on the hill that rapid brutality is the best perk in the game for xeno. It perfectly combos with the extra MS from crawler mode and the fact that you can catch up for a tail attack 85% of the time within 5-10 seconds bc you don’t need to ready the tail like nemi or phead.

Personally I think lethal pursuer is useless on alien due to its ability to track footsteps. If you just enter your tunnel instantly at the start you will get a chase in around 15 seconds
