Wide bands are gaining popularity. The ability to run a 3.5” from a mid bass all the way up and not needing a tweeter is a killer setup. Been running a set of CDT wide bands and love them. Those are impressive looking speakers for sure.

Dang the inverted surround is a great idea, only time I've ever destroyed a nice speaker it was the surround against the grille bc something was resting on it from the outside and it had barely fit
