Amazing! That 3/4 swing is a thing of beauty. Those thunderous toms.

Moral of the story: how an excellent drummer (a genius) can be limited in his genius by rock. Mitch Mitchell would have been a free musician on Jazz!

oh man thanks for posting this! mitch mitchell was such an amazing drummer. great blend of jazz in a rock setting. mitch was underrated for sure but he is one of the reasons I started playing drums myself. thanks again!

The song "You got me floating" would be a great drum track to isolate. It's on the Axis bold as love album, great drumming from Mitch!

Luv it ! Isolated of one of my all time favorites ! I've been listening to this since the album came out , and thats a long time ago now , over 50 years , and Mitchs drumming is perfect for this song , perfect . Chris Latton has a great lesson on this song .

@@isolatedfavorites5094 this is a pretty stellar isolation of the drum track, thanks for posting it! Question; Was this done via finding the original 4-tracks online somewhere and posting the drum track (because those would be cool AF to listen through) or did you use one of these new AI isolation apps/plugins? I hear phase coherence madness/playfulness during the bridge and wondered if that was done while they were tracking or if that was aliasing from an app I’m hearing. Honestly cool either way. My vote for another one would be the drums from I Don’t Live Today, Mitch was going crazy on that one. Cheers!

One challenge is to play guitar to it and manage to come back to the beat after the solo.
@nigelbakerbeard65452 жыл бұрын
Great about time somebody did this..It is interesting how Mitch keeps a solid beat going on Bass Drum throughout.on the main riff. This throws some people ,when they are trying to copy it Sounds a lot better with Jimi on Guitar🎼🎵🎶

@exarkun82502 жыл бұрын
3/4. The bass drum's playing the quarter notes.

3 or 6 as long as you have the jazz feel it will come out right!
