Considering Mitch Mitchell was playing with Jimi Hendrix at the time of Beatles and before Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple his drumming must have influenced a lot the rock scene in the 70s. Awesome video and great playing man!

Fabulous. Jimi's work was never as dynamically as good without Mitch. No-one like him in the rock world again. So sad he had to sell his drums in the 70s/80s just to make ends meet. And this tutorial just shows how complex and unique his drumming was. Love it!

In the 90's, I had the fortunate opportunity to record with Mitch and Buddy Miles. Completely different style of drummers, but both were amazing! Mitch played on a piece I wrote titled "Burning Red". I remember telling him that I wanted a sort of "Fire" type of vibe and he quipped with "that's easy for you to say"! Any way, he did a great job and I was very pleased. The track is on KZbin if you so desire. There was only one Mitch Mitchell! Fantastic memories! I miss him!

@@langedocalgvazil6760 "Burning Red". The project is called Gypsy Experience. Mitch, Buddy Miles, Billy Cox Dave Mason, Jim Capaldi and a host of others were on the album. It was released in 1997 as I recall. Some of those tracks are on my KZbin channel. Mitch recorded with quite a few artists... Terry Reid, Ramatam, Junior Brown and many many more.

Wow, amazing! Extremely well done video, and incredible drumming! That must have taken weeks to accomplish, thanks! I have always been surprised by the number of drummers who poo poo Mitch. They act like he was just puking on the drums, as if anyone could do what he did. But in fact his drumming was like a creek cascading through a manicured garden. It was very purposeful, yet still organic and beautiful. The perfect complement to Hendrix. Thanks for giving Mitch his due!

This video is amazing in so many different ways. I keep coming back to it week after week. As an engineer, I love metric and analytics. It pleases me the way you divide the drummer skills by levels depending on hours of training, I have a screen shot of that table and your list of Hendrix’s, Zeppelin’s, and Purple’s songs by level. Can’t hear them without checking the minimum level and calculating how many hours are left for me to be able to play. I’m really into your game. Besides this very cool metrics/game you developed, I love hearing to you playing the drumset. Instead of listening the actual music, lately I rather open your videos and listen to you playing drums only. As an engineer and a beginner drummer, I love the content you produce and I admire you as a drummer. I know sometimes it can be frustrating to see how many few people watch your videos. My reading is that people lack the capacity to understand and enjoy it. It’s never been the finest content that appeal to the masses. Last but not least, thank you for your parents for providing you with the opportunity to learn English. It’s a blessing that you are able to delivery your messages to the world. Great demonstration of Mitch Mitchell's drumming (and your ability to accurately represent it.) I like your rating system, too. Good stuff. Thanks for the video. You're really a very, very good drummer. Mitch was incredible, and you're damned good, too. (An interesting difference between your playing and Mitch's playing is your grip of the stick with the left hand. He used a "proper" technique, and you use a "Ringo grip."

You are a beast with the drums man! Your technique is immaculate. My only critique is that I think Mitch had a bit of swing that is not really coming through in this video. I think drums in this video are played a bit “too straight”. It is most apparent in Little Wing. For that same reason I would put that song WAY above level 23.

I think the most impressive song Mitch Mitchell did with Jimi Hendrix is “It’s too bad” it’s a basic blues song but he has these rhythms that in a drum sense are very technical IMO

My understanding what makes the band great is the Drummer!! Look at Stevie Ray Vaughan one of the best guitar player in ‘80’-90’s didn’t click great audience Edie to drummer isn’t clicking well as it should! If Mitch Mitchell was with them up Stevie Ray Vaughan it would blast to greatest. Same way with John Bonham after he d*ed. band broke up.. hard to find a great drummers!
