A very good rod. There very good through action at 11 ft. There's a film I did called barbel on worms where I land an 11 lb 5 ounce fish with the rod set at 13ft. U will see it does struggle a lot at this length as it becomes a mid action rod and its struggles. But I do still land the fish. They are very versatile. The tips are amazing. Robust. And if you set it up with a tip at 13 ft, it makes a great tippy trotting rod. Enjoy 😉

Another good vlog Gary, I have the same rod as that but that robbing so and so on Warner street in Accy charged me £30 for mine second hand for it. Can’t complain too much though coz I’ve caught plenty on it. I use mine at 11 foot on the feeder as well and 13 for float fishing. The feeder tips are great quality. I’ve thought about removing the eye on the additional but section so you can either add or remove it without having to remove the line altogether. I’ve seen Danny fish the river Dane on his face and chub blogs a couple of times, it looks a nice little river. I often use mine on the Dunkirk farm stretch of the Calder on the maggot feeder it’s a good rod really for the price, I’ve had plenty of use out of it.

Your very right about the rods. They are superb value for money. Since John passed away. God bless him. The prices have skyrocketed. The later models have the blank section with no eye which is a great modification. It's the one rod I always keep in my bag. It's the go too rod.

Would you know how heavy a feeder that rod could handle

Comfortably, I have chucked over 60 gramm loaded on the ribble when flooded. It ain't pretty. I used the same rod in a film I did barbel on worm. So you can cast big feeders. And you can land big fish. Just be warned it won't snap, but they will lock up with hard fighting fish.

Thank you. Well the original rods were made by ryobi with the masterline on it. The latest ones are the rovex. They may be from the ryobi line. The blanks are similar but handles are more modern and eyes tend to be single legs if ime rite and there's more test curves and a travel rod. I personally like the full cork handle. It has a more traditional feel. But second hand prices have risen dramatically
