The joker became obsess with Batman, from the moment batman save him. His insane mind couldn't compute why, would someone want to save him, especially with the amount of people he killed. The Joker wanted to die, he was suicidal, by saving him, batman give the joker a purpose to live.. And if you read the comics, Batman is just as crazy as the joker, but he resist his insanity, the joker knows this that's why he is obsess, he wants to break the batman mentally.

I've been thinking a lot about the Arkham series lately since I finished Arkham Knight and I realized that the overarching plot of all of these games is the relationship between Batman and Joker. We see them meet for the first time, their various fights, and we see their relationship develop. By Arkham Asylum, they've known each other for so long they dread each other but Arkham City is when Joker starts to think of Batman as a friend. When he dies, Joker still remains in Batman's subconscious and tortures him throughout Arkham Knight until Batman finally realizes something. The Joker needs Batman, but Batman doesn't need The Joker.

Sam Rider I realized the same thing, and once I did, I realized the true genius of Arkham Knight. The true antagonist of the game wasn't Scarecrow or the Arkham Knight, but The Joker. He was the final boss of Batman's story in such a cool, psychological way. In order to defeat the villains and save the day, Batman had to overcome the Joker one last time.

Carr Buckets I felt that they should of not have that twist, Joker being Black Mask and putting a bounty on Batman. They could of done it with the real Black Mask and have The Joker be the one who mess things up later in the game (middle of it). But overall, the story is great and Troy Baker did an excellent job as the young Joker. Arkham Origin's Joker is really scary and down right crazy.

Honestly, these games are the closest we'll ever get to a living, breathing Gotham that's been able to kick its way off the page. Nearly all the characters are as close to perfect in mannerism, voice, and appearance as most of us could hope for. Nolan took em, burned the source to a crisp, and took all the muck that was left and cobbled together his own world from it. The first film was good, the characters decent, the look and structure of Gotham well done. Scarecrow especially awesome. But for that really being good Batman? debatable, homie.

It's just... Nolan took all the FUN out of it! Decent casting throughout (except Anne Hathaway, what the heck was that?), some good overall plotlines, but it wasn't any FUN. Batman villains are theatrical! They go big and it's always BOOM and look, Batman, look what I can do! Even the clever ones, after they're done sneaking around and getting things done, want to have it out with a grand finale! For the most part, the finale in each film, whilst appropriate in scale, was just so BORING. NO FLARE! NO PIZZAZZ! And talk about Bane being EXTREMELY out of character, and goodness a very poor use of a baddie like Two-Face; I'm sorry, but you don't just knock a guy like that off a roof. Bad form. I'm hard to please, man. They're decent films, not gonna say they're not (although I barely made it through Rises, yikes what a SNORE), but they just don't feel like Batman!

Rakesh Khanna It’s...okay. By itself it’s fine, but compared to City, Origins , and Knight it’s pretty basic. The combat is very, VERY basic, there’s little to no free roam, the gliding isn’t as complex, and the story is very linear. As a first entry though, this is perfect acceptable as it was the first game. The others expanded upon Asylum which is what you want from sequels.

What if Joker's flashback was genuine and he only can't remember his life before falling into the chemicals? Batman was the last thing he encountered and the only fixed memory that stayed through his 'rebirth'. He started off as the Joker with Batman as his only prominent thought/reflection. Any previous memories are vague because he is the Joker, not a failed comedian who couldn't support his pregnant wife, and instead uses it as one of many fillers for a past he can't recall because to him, anything before the accident never existed.

The best explaination I can think of is that joker related himself to batman as shown on 6:07 and felt that batman after his parents' death had turned into the same insane person as he was due to the pain and agony both had suffered...However he thought that batman didnt unleash this part of his personality and kept it a secret ....Therefore he always tried to break him mentally so that he could be confronted with his 'split personality' and be his 'real self'

I can't get over how amazing the animation for the joker was in origins. Just so spot on, and funny too. He was captured so well. Also kudos to Troy Baker, I thought Mark Hamill voiced Joker in origins. He was a perfect replacement. Sidenote; I love batman(he's my fave dc hero), but I'd never want to live in Gotham. I'd never feel safe with so many psychos/criminals running around and escaping/pillaging all the time lol.
