It's not quite as apparent this early, but one thing people miss a lot is that Mr. Peanutbetter is frankly very similar to Bojack just more charismatic and lovebombs people to cover it up.

So yeah, esteemed character actress Margo Martindale is voiced by esteemed character actress Margo Martindale. She might or might not appear in later episodes. She also didnt really know anything about the show so eventually she said to a costar on a table read that this Mr. Peanutbutter character sounds a lot like a dog to her. Just as a fun fact. Oh, and Margo Martindale has been in a lot of Holywood projects over the decades. Her filmography is kinda fun.

I really like Mr Peanutbutter - I think like every character in BoJack Horseman he has his flaws, but I like him as he’s the stark contrast to BoJack and shows a different perspective. I find he’s a character that improves over time, too

You basically got it. Bojack bought Decapithon 7 for full price at Beast Buy, then hired Esteemed Character Actress Margo Martindale to hide it in a bargain bin and goad Todd into finding it.

The jokes were more ‘edgy’ in the first half of season one, and they threw in some Family Guy kind of cutaway gags. Thankfully they dropped this style pretty quickly

Yeah, I don't mind edgy jokes, as long as they make sense or they add something. I think that points were made with the edgy jokes in this one. But I'm happy to hear they don't run them into the ground

Another little detail to look out for: the running gag in the background with banners, signs, and custom T-Shirts. Whenever there’s a party or celebration (especially if it has to do with Mr Peanutbutter) there will be a horrible typo. For example: someone could ask for a cake that says happy birthday in purple icing. The typo will be “Happy birthday in purple icing”. Another great thing about the gag is Mr Peanutbutter gets increasingly frustrated with one of the typos being “And underline the ball, I don’t know why this is so hard”
