SpaceX had a similar sized rocket, the Falcon 1. After 5 flights they moved on to Falcon 9. Then Falcon Heavy. Now StarShip. All this despite greater initial investment into Blue. Not sure how a sounding rocket 8 years late is a big step forward. Blue STILL has not delivered a flight-ready engine to ULA nor have they reached orbit themselves. ULA is ready to test and integrate the engines then launch Vulcan. Instead, they are twiddling their thumbs and expending the last of the Atlas V's and Delta IV's. And still, BILLIONS invested hasn't produced anything but a few sounding rocket flights. It's a fancy sounding rocket with people on board, but a "big step" it is not.

For every one ticket, helps bring the cost down even more & more affordable, Blue Origin, could've created a more economical *or VIP spacious* hang-out size version craft, ~2 or nealy 3x pod, using 3 to 4 of half length size canisters, lifting a wider roomy dome. That musical art work painting party image on the Starship interior would look insignificant, compared to a long lasting safer altitude craft activity.

I'm surprised the FAA certified that capsule for human use with the door that swings inward didn't they learn their mistake from Apollo 1?
@area85restorations75
@area85restorations75 2 жыл бұрын
1. The FAA is the least of the concerns when it comes to space vehicles. 2. From an engineering standpoint, a door that swings outward is a very bad idea. Should the latch fail, the cabin pressure would force the door open. On the other hand, a door that swings inward is held closed by the cabin pressure. 3. The windows of the NS capsule can be ejected and used as emergency escape hatches if necessary. Additionally, these are huge windows!! The NS is an extremely safe vehicle!! Blue Origin has gone way above and beyond what is required of any regulatory body when designing this thing.

SOS The higher the temperature, the more the oceans will evaporate, then there will be more humidity and more precipitation, the desert will decrease plants regarding moisture and carbon dioxide will grow faster, the history of the earth is such that if global warming was antiquity, then it was a paradise for the biosphere,. .and when global cooling was then the evaporation of the oceans would decrease and precipitation would decrease, the desert would increase, this would collapse for the biosphere.The largest desert Antarctica, the hottest place the rainforests. Read the history of the earth, ancient times in global warming for the biosphere was a paradise. For plants, food is carbon dioxide, the more carbon dioxide, the more plants and more animals, carbon dioxide is not evil but good, without carbon dioxide there would be no life, that's a fact!.

I'm amazed at how many climate experts have no fucking clue about what you said. If the Earth wasn't capable of regulating itself it would have become like Mars eons ago. We must be judicious stewards of the planet (I don;t think anyone would disagree with that), but we do not need to hamstring ourselves with insane climate change oriented legislation and economic policies. If we do, the only thing that will change is energy will become more expensive, leaving poor people without the ability to travel or heat their homes/cook food, etc.

All this to bolster one man's ego and pocket. Calling them astronauts for what is essentially a 10 min gloryfied fairground ride, don't make me laugh, That is a dis-service to proper brave astronauts.

that guy is a pos if you know his history of using his dead dad of 9/11 as a way to get gigs when he started out, he even amended to it on a old XM radio show how it works so easy to get what he wants when he brings if up to venues and bookers. then he stated on that show that he really have no real vivid memories of his dad and didn't care to.
