No one can be blessed unless he ascends above himself, not in body but with the heart. The three days of threefold illumination; vespers, morning, and midday. The threefold existence of things; matter, understanding, and eternity. This threefold substance is also in Christ, who is our Stairway; the corporeal, spiritual, and the Divine.

Whoah! Absolutely first rate readings here. Cannot thank you enough This and the Dionysius the Areopagite especially. I've "read" the latter a couple times and was amazed how it came alive in an altogether new way. Your Apuleius is also a little masterpiece. Truly these are extraordinary offerings. Powerful mojo right there.

Canticle of Canticles 8:4b, "...Do not arouse or awaken love until the time is right." Some people are not yet ready for this unfathomable grace of God. The dart of Divine love is scary to the majority because it is not understood without personal revelation.

Do men with such sublime revelatory knowledge exist today? The minds of the early centuries believers were so elevated and otherworldly. I can listen to this reading many times and never get bored.

Thank you for taking the time to create these clips. Your voice is perfect for reading the mysteries of God. I like it when Bonaventure mentions the ascension of the heart. In Hebrew, the ascension of the soul is called Aliyah L'Regel, literally means to ascend on foot. Both feet are on earth, but the mind ascends unto the Divine to contemplate the most pure beloved. Christ is also called the Sacred Shequel. Again, in Hebrew, the word Belial means one who cannot ascend, alluding to the condition of the mind of Satan.

St Bonaventure a Catholic Saint and mystic! I can see why you have so many Catholic saints and writers for the same reasons the masonic rite hates us. The Catholic church is a mystic church having one foot on earth and one in heaven. We believe the saints in heaven hear our prayers and intercede for us to the father as we intercede for each other and those in purgatory who cannot pray for themselves.

The inscription translates as:"with two wings he covered his face" (the seraph that is) mymemory.translated.net/nl/Latijn/Engels/duabus
@civimaxx64214 жыл бұрын
It is from Isaias 6:2 from the Biblia Sacra Vulgata (aka Vulgate, the latin bible). Seraphim stabant super illud: sex alae uni, et sex alae alteri; duabus velabant faciem ejus, et duabus velabant pedes ejus, et duabus volabant. The seraphim (a high angel, burning in the love of god) stand over god (who is seen in a temple earlier) and they all have six wings: two hiding their faces, two hiding their feet and the other two are used to fly.

1:54:37 _"Moreover, in this transit, if one be perfect, it is proper that all intellectual activities be relinquished. And the whole apex of affection be transferred and transformed into God. However this is mystical and most secret, because no one knows it except him who accepts it. Nor does he accept it unless he be one who desires it. Nor does he desire it unless he be one whom the fire of the Holy Spirit, which Christ sent upon the Earth, inflamed the marrow of his bones. And for that reason, the Apostle says 'This mystical wisdom has been revealed by the Holy Spirit.' Since for this reason there can be nothing by nature, a limited amount by industry, a little by investigation, and much by unction, little must be given to the tongue and most to internal gladness. Little must be given by word and by writing and the whole by a gift of God - that is, by the Holy Spirit. Little must be given to the creature, and the whole to the Creative Essence."

The mind is an image of God only if you have received His Holy Spirit and your mind has been renewed. The Spirit is truth and so entering your mind does no good unless your mind (psyche/soul) has been renewed by His Spirit. Every man is a three part being in the image (eikon) of God, body, soul (psyche) and spirit (breath), just as God is Father, Son and Spirit. Our spirit is God's Spirit if we have received His Holy Spirit, otherwise we have received the spirit of the world, as we were born into corruption. The first Adam brought death through sin. The last Adam, who is Yahshua Messiah, brings life by God's Spirit who leads us into all truth. God condescends from His position as Father through the Son to indwell us with His Spirit. It is God's work to change hearts, not our own. It is our work to maintain what God has done within us. Each in their own order. Being glad in the knowledge of God is not the first principle, at least, not in our fallen state. The first principle is to acknowledge your sinful nature. The second is to repent and turn to God, the Father, who points you to His Son, who has been given the ministry of reconciliation to Him. The third principle is to accept His Son as Lord over your life, dying to yourself, entering Sabbath rest (ceasing your own works as God did from His), and doing only the will of God. The fourth, which is really just an extension of the third, is to receive and follow the Spirit of God. The Spirit brings the knowledge of God through the ministry of the Son (the Word, or Logos) who reveals Him. God is love. All creation yearns for the love of God. The love of God will reconcile all of creation to Him. This love was demonstrated by the sacrifice of His beloved, perfect Son, who was the atonement for all sin. Each will receive this gift as God sees fit. Creation will be reconciled in His time, and in His way, not ours.

Most people are attracted to worldly books because they have not yet been apprehended by God. It could be that these people are not yet ready to be initiated in the Divine mysteries. One must be ready to embrace the honour of being summoned to learn the hidden secrets of the Lord. Canticle of Canticles 8:4b, "...Do not arouse or awaken love until the time is right." Some people are not yet ready for this unfathomable grace of God. The dart of Divine love is scary to the majority because it is not understood without personal revelation.
