CC1: The nexus; real strong intro to the mainstream and it made a BIG statement with slapping bars and production. CC2: Dope follow-up act that had some big bangers (i.e. "I'm Turnt") CC3: Most cohesive-sounding project (s/o S1 on executive producing it!). Had heavy hitters and amazing soundscapes. CC4:??? I'm excited! Hoping for the cohesiveness of CC3 with the aggressiveness of CC1. What are y'alls thoughts?

I’ve been listening to Lecrae since I was in the 4th grade! I’m 25 now! When I say this mans music has helped me in so many ways. Has helped me pull myself out of depression and suicide. It’s deeper than a good beat. I respect him because he uses his music to not only glorify God but to help edify others. Definitely doesn’t get the recognition he deserves! But when you’re approved in private, you will never need to be approved in public. Respect.

Church clothes the first one by Lecrae persuaded me to read the Bible for the first time since Mama would read it with me when I was a kid and I came to Christ soon after at the age of 18. I'm forever grateful to Lecrae for Church Clothes cause it changed my life forever and showed me how I could rap to reach people outside of the Church. Forever grateful ✌️

Mannnnnn I know the narrative is Lacrae audience is white but me as a black dude I rock with him. I know alot of African Americans kinda frown at him cause they’re used to gospel and worship music but I still bump let the trap say amen and restoration slaps too. You can worship to LTTSA and Restoration. I think because the lyrics are raw and the beats hit that we can’t listen to them man if it got a word from God and it slaps the speakers? Man I’m all over it lol
@KarlNova3 жыл бұрын
I think you’ve got it wrong, that’s not the narrative. Lecrae has a lot of fans who are black (always has from the start) and lost a lot of fans who are white because of his strong stance against racism and speaking up on social justice issues. He still has an audience of black people, white people and I’m sure every other race and background globally. There are people who frown on his approach from different backgrounds not just Black and there are supporters from all different backgrounds too! We have freedom to just be in Christ! Blessings 🙌🏾
@chipskylark1723 жыл бұрын
@@KarlNova I know in his book he said he lost a lot of his white audience that’s why I mentioned it. I definitely know his audience is from all over though you’re right about that. That’s the beautiful thing about Christ we come from all walks of life

@@chipskylark172 yeah but you mentioned that the narrative is Lecrae’s audience is (mainly) white and that isn’t the narrative ESPECIALLY now. You’re not in the minority as a Black person that rocks with him! Anyway blessings 🙏🏾🙏🏾
