Monopoly on NES was awesome! You just had to play the rules to do trades instead of cash like you do on the regular board game. Awesome game!

I got a lot of my NES stuff back in the mid to late 90’s as well. I didn’t have a lot of money growing up but loved gaming so I’d buy older gen stuff really cheap at yard sales and pawn shops. I remember getting a cib NES action set for $2! Still have it. A lot of my stuff I got for $1 or 2 back then, so glad I held onto it!

It took me 2 years to complete the Nes set between 2019-21 minus Stadium Event. Best advice is start at Little Samson and get the grails out the way because that 600$ game today is probably a 800$ game 6 months from now.

I finally finished the TENGEN set of NES games last year. Its more fun to collect NES games in sub-sets as you build your collection. I usually do it by publisher or by series.

My man... I absolutely love NES content and that you are going for the full set. I am at 353 unique licensed loose (not including any variants) and 49 of those are complete after 6 years of flipping and hustling to build it. I've hit my first big wall though and not found any deals in a long while to continue the journey. Best of luck with yours my friend! I'd suggest looking at scooping games in that $30-90 dollar range ASAP, especially if you ever see them at any sort of deal. It's good to pick up heavies as you go as well, just bite the bullet and you'll be much happier strategizing along the way.

I spotted Magic of Scherezade in the video at 20:04. That's one of the NES games I have. A good RPG that's relatively easy to play, even the password system is quite forgiving. It's a good mix of action RPG like Zelda mixed with some turn based combat like Final Fantasy.

God speed. I stopped at 152. I have a couple of heavy hitters like Ducktales 2, Bucky O'Hare, Felix the Cat and Bubble Bobble 2. Every time I look at my collection and what's left, there are 85% of the games that are less than $100 with the most expensive being Little Samson and Stadium Events. And some of the expensive ones are hot garbage. I look forward to seeing how this goes

It was believed for a long time that the Golf guy was Mario, especially since he was in the Game Boy version, but in the Wii game (which was exclusive to Japan and Europe), Captain Rainbow, he's identified as Ossan. That name was used for Mario during the development of Donkey Kong, but the design is different enough in Captain Rainbow that it confirms he's not Mario.
