I know this is "The Minimal Mom" - but I don't think of this channel as Dawn's "stage" as described (jokingly) in the video - I really feel that Diana and Tom bring their own magic to this "show" and I consider this channel "an ensemble cast" where all three get to shine in their own way and provide entertainment, wisdom, and knowledge that complements one another. Other channel creators would be wise to follow Dawn's lead and share the stage with others in their lives who also have so much to give to the audience. Keep shining - all three of you are diamonds! But today I wanted you to know that I enjoyed this 'recap' sort of video and appreciate the work that must have gone into editing it! I am not a minimalist but I have decluttered and downsized when I recently (a year ago?) moved across several states. I now am living alone as my husband is still living and working in the same old town/state. I just realized something today. I found you during this lockdown due to the plague. You have been my weekly friends during this time. I’ve learned so many helpful tips from you, but most of all, I have enjoyed your company. I am a widow and my son passed away when he 24 as the result of an automobile accident which was 26 yrs ago. My parents have gone to be with the Lord and so have all my aunts and uncles. My brother lives 4 hrs away, so I have been very isolated. You all have been a ray of sunshine in my world. When my husband and I were dating, I remember my mom asking if we were serious and I responded by telling her he was just a friend! It’s a really good idea to marry your best friend. Even after eight years I still miss him! I was so blessed! We also did soooo many remodeling projects on our house and we worked so well together!

Life sometime seems so stressful, but I am so blessed in so many ways. I’ll be going in for surgery in a couple of weeks and this whole COVID thing makes it a bit scary. I do think the hospitals are equipped with the right kind of ventilation and they are certainly taking all the precautions, but I would be nervous too, honestly. I do hope everything goes well! I need my knees replaced, but I haven’t been quite well enough to have it done yet. I’m sure everything will come out good for you, but it’s just the unknown that we don’t like. I'm reminded of my parents....very ingenuous...could look at a project....and, usually figure it out, and did. Dad was AMAZING with tools....whether it was car related...home related...garden related...he did it all. Mom...great with the decorating...painting....trimming the bushes...wonderful cook....and, AMAZING seamstress....together, they reupholstered a sofa 4 times...NOW, with 3 kids...a dog...later, a cat...that's LONGEVITY sofa wise. I just recently "discovered" you all and am so happy that I did. I also read the Little House books when growing up. I know your experience was quite different from hers, but I know she was in that (very) general area at times. Upon hearing these news about Tom and Dawn's feelings, I've felt a little awkward, wondering how 'close' Tom and Diana really were, how did Diana really feel about the whole thing, especially about them marrying so quickly!! Dawn was super happy at Diana's wedding, worried if Diana felt the same joy at Dawn's. She has said how hard she prayed for a husband and how God answered her. I kept seeing these videos for The Minimal Mom. I though, “minimalism isn’t me!” Your smiling face kept drawing me in and I finally clicked on a video. I am so glad I did!! I went from being married for 18 years and homeschooling our three children to being a single mom while grieving the tragic loss of my oldest son. I absolutely love y’all! I find myself looking forward to your videos. I have been de-cluttering my house & life since October 2019. It certainly has been challenging but oh so rewarding. I have suffered from depression & anxiety for years. I am breaking free from it & feel like I have my life back. The clutter no longer owns me. I have finally gotten my family on board. I often refer to y’all as my friends from MN, even my husband says it,lol. I am thankful God gave you the gift of helping others. We may never meet but you hold a very special place in my heart. Because of you and everything I have learned from watching this channel, our life is so much richer. Over the past year (we did our first 30-day minimalism challenge in August, 2019) we have simplified our home, schedule and life in general, and have made time for what matters most. I have brought my family along on the journey (not always willingly) and we have all become closer. Our children (boy - 8 & girl - 7) play so well together with a simplified selection of toys and I stress so much less! We aren't quite done with things yet, and there are always projects (my hubby is like Tom - always needs a project!), but we also have time to spend together as a family because the house and the stuff in it isn't overwhelming us. THANK YOU! And congratulations on your success!

Hi Dawn, this video really warmed me. You are a wonderful family. Your home is amazing. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you. About 9 years ago, I lost my wonderful Mum. We were like 2 peas in a pod. We did everything together. When Mum died I accumulated a lot of her things including all her kitchen stuff. It's taken me a long time to come to terms with. But after watching so many of your videos, I just knew I had to do something about my home. Way too much stuff. I'm in the process of decluttering and so far I have managed to do my bathroom and Kitchen and halfway through the Bedroom. I cannot tell you or thank you enough for the motivation you have given me. I have been suffering from depression but I can now see a light at the end of that tunnel. Cluttered space, cluttered Mind. I'm feeling a lot better but some days it just feels overwhelming but I do bits each day. I have taken a lot of your advice onboard and it really does work. So Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You, Tom and Diana, are just so lovely!

I so enjoy your videos and find it funny when you think they are too long, because I always want more :) When you say that you don't want to tell people you have a utube channel, that rings a bell for me. I am newly retired in my fifties and I thought about starting a utube channel but am procratinating since I don't know really how to start and worried no one will want to watch. You guys are perfect for the screen, all 3 of you. I also am surprised where I am at, retired and living on a large property in Ontario with a Mr. fix it husband.
