Great video! I just got this pedal and I love it. The only disappointment was the reverse mode, which is one of the main reasons I wanted it over the Oceans 11, since they have some similar features, but with this being much more affordable. Still, I can pick up a used Digiverb and still be in the same ballpark, price-wise overall. Subscribed. I like the playing as well. Nice tones.

The forest effect is probably named after a forest by the cure they used alot of flanger on that but the cure are know for never turning off the chorus effect on the more subtle effects if you turn the mix up past noon you could hear the effects better 😉

Hey! I'm wondering if you can use the flanger, chorus and tremolo as non-reverb effects if you turn the mix all the way up and the decay all the way down. Have you tried that? Just like you can turn the DD-8 into a chorus with the same trick. Perhaps if the minimum decay isn't short enough it wouldn't sound great. I'd love to know, thank you! Great video by the way :)

I haven’t owned this in a while, but from what I recall, the effect is pretty much just in the background of the reverb. So a higher mix and short decay may get you some what there. But it’s not gonna be like having a dedicated pedal for it.

100% what I was looking for before purchasing this pedal. I was on the fence, because I bought other pedals, and more specifically a Donner Square Verb based on "quick and dirty" reviews. Well, that pedal is "ok" but has this annoying, well, spring vibration sound in EVERY sound setting, kinda like a spring being shook around. THIS however, is EVERYTHING I could possibly want to set on this pedal, and not just a "Here is a single note on a string... NEXT SOUND" , but in depth. I appreciate this review, and this review caused me to spend money on this device... Should arrive this week, thanks for an amazing demo. I will be sure to keep checking you out, and hopefully you'll review anything I plan on buying. lol

Haha well technically most mod verbs are just adding a chorus effect into the trails. They don’t sound identical. So I guess you get two diff flavors of a similar thing.

The trail button at "on" seems to allow the decay to happen when you switch the unit off, but not when you change reverb type.

@@aaronjlivecchi I bought one today. This demo & another convinced me. Update: This is a fantastic unit. The sound quality is excellent and it's easy to use. The MOD control is the key to what it can do. Try every effect on max and you'll see what I mean. If I had to choose between this and my Hall of Fame 2, the Joyo would win easily. That's because I like to use a variety of interesting effects without spending time online trying to figure out what the heck the HoF2 is about. Maybe another time.

I got both. I like the effect quality better with the Polara, sounds fuller and more natural and it's easier to adjust. Also the Modulated and the Halo Mode are really special and fun to use. However the Joyo has an echo effect which is a plus and you have more gimmicks. Both have a trail switch. I use the Polara with my band and the Joyo at home.

So the verbs go fully wet pretty much. The decays are long but not as long as some more expensive brands. However. Pair this with a delay and maybe a volume pedal swell and you may be able to create a long pad like drone. I’d say adding a delay to it will help significantly.

Aaron, the preamp house or the cab box? which one do you prefer? since the price is not that much of a difference, help me decide bro.. i like your video with the pre amp house using the aquarius and atmosphere on the loop section of the pre amp, but i also like the cab box..

It’s really hard to say. If you’re gonna use it as “amp drive” get the preamp house. The Cab box can’t do that. But the cab box has more flexibility with the stock IRS and you can upload your own as well. I prefer the Cab box for a clean canvas for pedals. That’s how I use it personally. At the end of my board so it’s always there if I need it. With the Cab box I can also do direct and an actual amp At the same time.

I think that the more reviews I watch on these pedals with presets, the less I like them. The only presets pedal I still like is the Line 6 DL4. That pedal just sounds amazing to me.

I'm tempted to trade in my Tc Electronic fluorescence shimmer for this pedal. That pedal is good but you really have to almost lose the guitar signal in order to even get a taste of the shimmer and there is also a pretty big dip in volume when the pedal is engaged. Did you find that to be the case with this one?

You have to play with the mix knob. A ton of verb mixed in may feel like a perceived drop. But I was using a lot of verb on purpose to really make the reverb sounds clear.

That’s a hard question to answer. It depends a lot on the player. As long as you have a base tone you’re happy with; I’d imagine this would sound good with your set up.

Nice. If only it were stereo. For a few extra $, it would be totally worth it. Still, a nice pedal, as are all in this new series from Joyo. I have the Zip Amp and the OMB. Paid less than $200AUD for both (one was a customer returned item). The Zip is definitely a BB preamp style pedal, the "Custom Comp" model. The OMB has remarkably good drum sounds, easy to use.

@@aaronjlivecchi Just picked up another, the Vision Dual Modulation (again, customer-returned - so cheap!), which is currently sitting in the effects loop of my Electro-Harmonix Superego.The Atmosphere just re-stocked the Aussie distributors. Gonna grab one. Worth it for the "rewind" mode, the chorus & fanged 'verbs, and the tone/mod controls. Most of my jam/rehearsal Board and a fair % of my main board is comprised of Joyo, NU>X, and Mooer.

I put it with my NUX Compressor, Joyo Zip Amp, a Keeley Psi Fuzz, CE-2, MXR Echoplex Delay, and EXH Analogizer into my Laney Cub and it sounded lovely. The flanged repeats on one of the modes with the tape delay hitting the reverb gave me a tone not dissimilar to what I've heard in demos of the much-hyped Keeley Eccos. That Zip Amp is fantastic, it's serving me well while my AC Booster is being repaired.

I'm liking this pedal. I just wasted $40 on an Eno reverb earlier and wish I would have waited and spent a bit more for this. This reminds me of a lot of the mods on my Canyon delay which I use mostly with the reverb setting anyway. The shimmer on this Atmosphere sounds just as good as the Canyon, and I suspect the Ocean 11 as well. A lot of clarity and brightness. So many cheaper reverb pedals can't say the same.
