Hey mate, I was the guy that had asked about the laser and if you had it / had plans to use it on Reddit. Thanks a lot for this video, very nicely done. My main purpose is making custom foam inserts with the laser, based on how smooth and tight the wood etch was I assume I probably wouldn't have any problem doing quality finishes when laser cutting foam with this laser and machine. Very insightful!

I definitely think cutting custom foam inserts is something this laser would do very well, especially on the Mega V. I am already planning on foaming out a pelican case with custom cutouts for all my wife's photography equipment.

If you could show us how to do basic trochoidal milling that would be awesome!

I’m still waiting on my 7W from millright. You should try it on aluminum. I’m 6 weeks out! Love your videos and I’m learning a lot from them.

That's good to hear man, thanks for watching them! Trying the laser on some aluminum is definitely on my list of things to do! I am by no means a professional machinist and I dont really know what trochoidial milling is but I will do some research and I will do what I can to bring you some content about it!

Do you have any video or can you point me in the right direction of installing the Jtech 7W Laser?

Here is a video explaining how I mounted my laser to the Mega V! kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5LIgKWMl8uJhM0 I will look around and see if I find any other resources for you!

How long did it take to burn that ?

I think from start to finish it took about 20-25 minutes!

I cant justify the 700$ price tag. laser master 2 330$ 5.5W output. Not as big and not as powerful. but i dont see anything that i cant do on my 5.5 that your doing. and its below 1/2 the price

Thanks for watching! This price was a little steep imo as well but it didnt seem that bad when purchasing along side the Mega V. With that being said it is a quality product and it hasn't let me down so far. Also worth considering that Jay from JTech is incredibly helpful and offers customer support rivaled by no one I've seen in his Facebook group related to these lasers. At the end of the day there are TONS of great lasers out there at different price points and you just have to find the one that suits your needs and budget the best!

@@jonescompanycustoms7208 I bought a onefinity CNC I still could not justify to add 1/3rd of the cost of the cnc to go for a laser. I love my onefinity. I would support them more into this laser if the cost was down to 500$ for the laser. I would give it a shot. but at 700$ made me go buy a laser master 2 and learn how to tile :)

@@st0mper121 @st0mper121 that's great man! I have heard good things about the onefinity, I'm sure you will be happy. Tiling is great and something all of us amateur CNC guys need to learn how to do anyways so you're better off for doing it now! Good luck man, thanks for watching!
