Could be the greatest song ever written or recorded. Simply beautiful and painful at the same time. Naomi Judd wrote about her state of her mind I believe. Sort of like nothing she could do and just hoped it would just go away . RIP

I was living in Chattanooga when Naomi retired from The Judds. I was fortunate enough to attend their final concert and went to a meet and greet for autographs. I cried a lot during that final concert because I knew it was the end for The Judds and the beginning of Wynonna but this song tore me up. During the performance Wy started crying and then Naomi laid her head on Wy's shoulder and began to cry...it was a powerful moment for this mother/daughter act. So glad God healed Naomi.

Its amazing to watch these two wonderful women and specially the love on Naomi's face as she listens to her daughter sing. This mother loves her daughter beyond all words. Wynonna's biggest fan is her own mother. Happy Easter and Mothers day everybody

Naomi reminds me of my own mama. They looked so much alike, were both from the hills of Kentucky and both suffered from dreaded, chronic depression. Too sad to go on. Makes me cry from helplessness. PLEASE HELP THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION.

The more I listen to this gorgeous song, the more I realize how wonderful it would’ve been for Elvis had he lived. Especially when Wynonna changed the first verse at Sunday’s tribute from “my love is gone” to “my mother is gone”. Wynonna and Elvis really shine with these type of songs. Beautiful.

"The future isn't what it used to be..." And the future looks very different for Country Music. Listening to Judd tunes now gives me a deeper level of appreciation for who they were as a team, and for what they left as a legacy.

I'm going to take a chance here and bare my soul in the hopes that helps not only myself but someone else. Just yesterday I gave my newborn baby up for adoption. It was the most painful and the most loving moment all at the same time. I know I did the right thing but now my wish is: that the river of time would just roll on and ease my mind.

It isn't loving at all....I've met many adopted people & most remember very well their ABANDONMENT...you will one day find out when your child comes looking for you. A very selfish act indeed.

@@tishkerrville8942 A friend of mine searched and found the mother who gave him up at birth. He couldn't drive home fast enough to his adoptive mother and cried on her shoulder. He told her, "YOU ARE MY MOTHER AND, I THANK GOD FOR YOU, MOM. Shame on you that you judged this beautiful young woman.
