I love this technic. When I am just deep frying, I marinate with a white onion and all the ingredients that you use, but I prefer dry oregano. you cannot go wrong with pork. The Gifts of God to us. I love your channel. I use this technic to make larger chunks with skin ( chicharron). Love this channel.

This was an extraordinarily helpful video, thank you for sharing your technique. I went a little heavier duty on the marinade, both in flavors and marination time, but the boil and fry method worked really well. Racks are always best, but using newspapers instead of paper towels will help with the grease problem. I think newspapers can be found at your local antique store.

For those of us boiling, roughly how long will it take? I know you said test for tenderness, but this will be my first time and I'm hoping for some idea of a time frame 😁
@JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen2 жыл бұрын
Boil for about 45 minutes and test for tenderness at that point.

I just found your channel after spending a month in PR. I’m missing it so much! Question: what do you do with all the oil after frying things up? Let it cool and save it to use again, cool and toss it? (I haven’t fried anything before)

Can I use pork loin, I have about 2 lbs and I'm not sure what to do with it.
@JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen3 жыл бұрын
You should be able to. No reason why it shouldn’t work. I would suggest a tweak: instead of pressure cooking it, boil it on top of the stove. I expect that it will take less to get the pork loin soft because there’s less connective tissue and would not want it to fall apart. You can test it as it cooks so you can turn it off when it’s done.

I make the tenderest carne frita without tenderizing or boiling 👎. Why wet marinade? Your going to fry and burn all the garlic and onions 😢. This method is horrible.
@banshee24full2 жыл бұрын
Nope you don't boil the carne Frita 😒 your fry the meat them put them in butter onions an green pepper medium heat 15 minutes
@JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen2 жыл бұрын
I can agree with you that some people doing boil theirs before hand and we specifically say that in the video. However, as to the pepper and onions, that’s not the most common way
