Hi Merritt! It was such a nice surprise to see another video from you pop up today! Wow, your recent finishes are fantastic! Aren’t drums fun to do? Yours are spectacular. I stitched and finished the little BBD bird in the same little bowl from Hobby Lobby, but I didn’t make it into a drum. I just made a pincushion out of it in the metal bowl. I like the way yours looks better. All your finishes are beautiful. I wanted to let you know that I collect child sewing machines and I have one exactly like the one you got. You might try some Naval jelly to see if the rust would come off, or just use fine steel wool to sand the rough spots down a little. It’s still cute just like it is. I, too, enjoy going to estate sales. You never know what you might find! Thank you for mentioning our floss tube channel, that is very sweet. Happy stitching til next time and God bless you! 🪡🧵🪡🍂🍁🍂🍁🌻🐝🧡🤎🌻

Hey Louise, Mike put you up on the tv for us to enjoy your flosstube together tonight. I love that I have you interested in collecting the little antique sewing machines but I may have just shot myself in the foot because you have found me several really nice machines. 🤣🤣🤣 (I am truly not worried because you have always looked out for me❤️) We enjoyed seeing all your finishes again and even opened up BBD Home for the Holidays looking for something we can stitch together. Yeah Louise, we need another project!!! Mike question me about the book of sampler motifs that you showed and I told him you said I NEEDED that book.😂 I am looking forward to our Friday morning stitching even though I will probably have to stop a little early tomorrow. Stitch on my friend. 🧵🧵🧵🪡🪡🪡🧵🧵🪡🪡

Beautiful stitches, Merritt. I am always on the lookout for frames and other finishing things at the local thrift store. Such a bargain compared to professional finishing. I also use a local framer for some things I know I cannot deal with myself but like everyone, counting my pennies these days!! I live in North Alabama ....I noticed you mentioned your daughter's wedding would be in Alabama.

Hi, Arlene, Thank you so much for your kind comments. Yes, when we can DIY with our finishing, it saves us some pennies for sure. My daughter's wedding will be in south AL. Hope you are enjoying some beautiful fall weather. Happy Stitching! 🧵

Oh, great finds! I love your toy sewing machine. I have several. I display them in my studio in the windows. Do you need more milk glass vases? I have a few that I never use. Your Thanksgiving mat is sooo pretty! I want to make everything in the Winds of Autumn book. I love your finish. I guess I need to get one of those tins. :)

Hi, Christine, Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The little sewing machine is just so cute, hard to pass up. Thank you for the milk glass, such a kindness. Take care and Happy Stitching! 🧵 P.S. Hello, Agnes and Ethel!

Another beautiful video! I love your finishes! I have my Grandmother’s set of pink depression glassware but I haven’t seen a lace piece like that before either. What a wonderful find! I started a Bristol sampler from Claudia’s collection on the new 18 ct perforated paper. It’s just tiny margins but I don’t know where to get the larger sheets. I stitch a little on it when I’m tired of regular stitching. I’ll try to remember to pull out that little bird in the Blackbird book. I have a couple of the samplers kitted up but not yet started.

Hi, Barbara, So good to hear from you. Thank you for your kind comments. There was quite a bit of pink depression glass at this sale, including a bowl with the lace edge. Hello Merritt! Found you through Carolina Cross-Stitcher. Quick question. I love the pin cushion you made with the milk glass bowl. I just found found one just like it with the lace edge to put your scissors. Could you tell me how to make the pin cushion, how to measure the size needed? I am a sewer and cross stitcher and have been wanting to make one forever! Thank you in advance for your help.
