August 24th 2019, my husband proposed and agreed to marry me then we both planned for the wedding. Our wedding was to be held on September 27th. We had a little misunderstanding and he left me for another girl. I almost committed suicide. which lead to our break up. I was not myself again, I felt so empty inside me, my love and financial situation became worse, until a close friend of mine told me about a spell caster who helped her in the same problem too his name is Doctor Sandy. I emailed the spell caster and I told him my problem and I did what he asked of me, to cut the long story short. Before I knew what was happening, less than two days ago my husband gave me a call and told me that he was coming back to me. I was so happy to have him back to me. The most interesting part of the story is that I am pregnant. Thanks to Doctor Sandy for saving my marriage and for also saving others' own too. All these ladies here blabbing about domestic violence... If you know what is domestic violence, you will keep quiet. Her sisters and mothers abuse isn't domestic violence? When couples quarrel, they say hurtful things to one another. It's not every little thing in ur marriage, you call family. The man needs therapy for his anger. Marriage has its ups and downs, and there's no one that can't change for the better. If they are willing to make it work, they should work on themselves. Her pain is that there's no child yet from her and her husband does. If they can deal with it, they should. The man is also stupid to be defensive after cheating.

@@YT4Me57 Divorce is permissible in the case of adultery but they are rules also to that effect. They must remained unmarried except one of them is dead. So, to this effect you must understand that if he or she remarries another, he or she commits adultery. And if you sleep with another, it is also a sin. But the scriptures said, love is the greatest commandment: thus we must forgive to be forgiven. If GOD forgives our trespasses, why not forgive those who wronged you too so that you can also be forgiven your trespasses? GOD is faithful even when we gave him every reason to turn HIS back on us. Like the scriptures said, For GOD so love the world that he gave HIS Son as a propitiation for our sakes. As it is also written: But GOD commended HIS love towards us while we were yet sinners not when we were perfect.

For some people that think the judge is biased, she did the right thing regardless who is at fault. For me both sides have got their blame, she needs to start keeping her martial issues between her and the husband either current or new one or else she would have the same problem in her new relationship. And the man has some anger issues that needs to be sorted before it becomes deadly. Lastly, marriage or even living with someone is not as easy as people make on the social media, remember your siblings action then think of such things happen in 10 or 20 times, that's marriage, sometime sweet or sometimes bitter. They both need counselling.

Seeing this woman's story is so beautiful and her stoic demeanour brought tears to my eyes. While I was relieved to see that humanity still exists in the comments I also felt a touch saddened by the multitude of criticism of the Judge's advice. Everyone is looking for someone to blame, when I think the problem of inequality is very complex and cannot be solved from the outside looking in. Often third world countries have a complete political system which needs to be dismantled. It's like complaining about the spec of dust in someone else's eye without seeing the entire log in ones own. Stories like this are the price we pay for living in our relatively sheltered bubbles. How many of the people disapproving of the Judge's advice know anything about the rich tapestry of Nigerian culture and traditions? I am not saying every Nigerian is affected by the socio-economic issues that arise with poverty (fun fact; Nigeria is the richest country in Africa). But we know domestic violence is common internationally in lower demographics. You can't judge this case by western culture and ideals, the woman is not coming over to a 2nd or 1st world country where her survival is less dependant on customs and traditions, or her ability to bare child (albeit, I have heard that Nigerian culture is fast evolving).
@estherhadasa6463 жыл бұрын
This is funny . Pls what are you saying at the end of your write up ? That domestic violence is not an issue because it’s common in Africa ? Do women die as a result of domestic violence ? Or not many enough have died yet for it to be a concern ? I’m just lost . The judge advising them to take Counseling is ok. She hasn’t forced them to live together that’s wise too . Those of you blaming the Judge need to understand how the Nigerian court system works in marital situations. Judges are always reluctant to pass a divorce judgment even when it's obvious. It would help if you find out how much it costs in Nigeria to process a divorce. The idea is to discourage couples and find common ground to make the relationship work.

I don't think many of the people commenting listened to the Judge. I am happy I watched and listened to the end otherwise I would have been swayed by negative comments. She is following the law and doing her job, she didn't force the woman to go back to her husband, and she clearly stated that she isn't telling the woman to stay with her husband. She only told them to go for 4 marriage counseling sessions. If after that the woman still wants a divorce then she should come back and the Judge will grant it. The Judge is required to do that by law, divorce is a serious thing in Nigeria unlike those countries like US that Nigeria is being compared to. She also warned the man against assaulting his wife. Divorce is not a magic word that protects the woman. There have been cases even in the US, where the woman was granted a divorce by the Court or restraining order, yet her husband still killed her and sometimes killed her family. We prefer to save marriages first in Nigeria but when the effort has been made and no results, then the Court grants divorce.

Obviously, the lady is most upset about the fact that the gentleman had a child outside of wedlock. The guys seems ok and can make amendments with anger management sections. In my observation, there are too much external family tension going on here especially from the lady side. The lady found her family as where she can get comfort and seem like her family is not helping her with the comfort that she needed rather they are creating unhealthy tension and steering her relationship towards destruction. Usually, when a marriage is lack offspring, that seems to create lots of tension, agitation, insecurities, trust problems... it takes love and understanding to work together in such toxic environments. Lady, my advise for you is to give it another chance, forgive your husband for his mistakes, take the child into your heart and allow the child in your life. Please stop letting your family steer your relationship, its unhealthy for you both and your marriage. I understand that your family loves you but they are not in the best position to help your problem. Man, please make it the last time you will hit your woman, you offended her. Find a way to show her love, give her comfort so that she will not have reason to go back to her family for advise. Wish you guys luck. Lawal.
