The K swapped MR2 is too loud!

Trying to sustain my hearing into my old age so I added sound deadening back into the interior of the car.
I wish I took a reading of how loud it was when the door was shut before adding the sound deadening material. but unfortunately I did not.

I actually plan to put some sound deadening on my MR2 this weekend. It might be time to put the meter over every spot in the car and see where it's loudest. I wonder if the spot to the side of the seats where the speakers normally go is louder than the center of the car? If so, I'd put some metal and deadening in there. That's what I plan on doing because I noticed it's louder in the car even when I just have the plastic removed. Obviously a quieter exhaust would help. Though all the aftermarket ones produced today are loud. The Greddy Power Extreme and the Fujitsubo Legalis are the quietest MR2/3sgte exhausts, but those are hard to find now and don't work well with a k-swap. You could possibly make one from a luxury car muffler, but not from any aftermarket cans. They're all pretty loud.

Doing the doors would probably help a lot. But what I thought was the main problem was the huge fuel pump that I put in the center of the car where the gas tank usually sits. Along with a couple open holes where plugs used to be, that were removed when I painted the car and never put them all back in. Lastly I should've done the readings outside because the walls of the garage surely reflected the sound waves which made it louder than it should've been. I'm also (basically) open header. No sense in buying an aftermarket exhaust when I don't plan to stay NA for very long.
