Dude stop spreading misinformation. This OP was done by Kouhei Nakama 中間耕平 and he is a freelancer CGI animator, one of the best CGI artists in japan who only works on ads and music videos. This time he was contracted by the production to make this entire opening. Yes he and his team animated this entire OP. None of the ig or khara staff participated in this. So yes technically it was outsourced.

Oh yeah, it's a huge ball of influences and references. Kafka, the main character, is named after Franz Kafka. An author who wrote a story about a man waking up turned into a giant bug. Godzilla final wars, where people in Powered suits VERY similar to the ones here, fight and kill basically all of the monsters in Godzilla by that point in time. Pacific Rim how they focus a decent amount about the clean up after killing a monster. I won't mention the clear anime/manga influences though as that might spoil some stuff.
