Faiz is a show I hold a huge place for in my heart. For years Kuuga was my favorite, and will always be up there for me, but the writing and characters of Faiz really, really hit close to home, Takumi being in consideration of being one of the best protagonists in the Franchise. Love Love Love this show, can't wait to see the video! EDIT: Oh yeah this was that good stuff. Faiz is and will always be Peak.

The thing is Toshiki Inoue's view on women is quite confusing. The women in his novel is often victims of rape and horrible injustice, but their characters and personalities are very unique. Women in Jetman is upfront in their desire and relationship, Sonoda Mari is bubbly and idealistic and Kito Haruka is basically one of the most well-portrayed high school student I have ever seen. They are almost never passive or written as tools for hero motivation. But it's a shame they never got the chance to be heroes themselves

Maybe that's the point. He wants people to feel frustrated on how women are treated in society. Or maybe he leans on the male MC because that's the perspective he knows best like how I usually play a male avatar in a game even when I really like the strong female characters. Kinda reminds me of JoJo writing how Araki showed he can write a leading female character in Jojo part 6 but in 7 and onwards the female characters mostly play a supporting role.

Saya was originally going to be the Dragon Orphnoch and use the Delta belt a bit longer, but her actress was busy with school so she had to be written out of the show. But even without the scheduling conflict I doubt Bandai would let their new toy be worn by a female character lol. As terrible as the Faiz novel was, at least it did one right thing by sticking to the original plan and actually letting Saya do something...even if it meant turning her into a crazy yandere that keeps Kusaka's dismembered body in her home.

Speaking as someone who recently finished Faiz a few months ago and loved it but was disappointed with how Mihara was handled as a character, you did a great job exploring both his and Delta's overall role in the story as well as how his character arc (though not built up very well) plays into the show's themes and connects with the rest of the main cast. Nice work! (And yes, I am still bitter over Saya getting killed off before she could transform onscreen)

50:23-50:38 Respect. I'd say I have some similar tastes as well, mainly the most notable example for me, Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. Faiz is tied with Blade as my 2nd favorite Kamen Rider entry, and speaking as a Takumi/Faiz stan, this video gave me a *much* better appreciation for Shuji Mihara and Kamen Rider Delta! Log thinks liking Delta is pretty small, imagine having your favorite KR Ghost rider be the titular hero himself (He's more divisive than both Specter and *ESPECIALLY* Necrom, but still...). Subbed and hit the bell! Hope we get more Toku videos alongside the comic videos in the future! Also FYI Log, your boy Mihara is listed as The Scrappy on 555's TV Tropes YMMV page. Hopefully this video can *fix that* and put some respect on his name.

I mean, if you really think about it, before the Paradise Reclaimed movie where Mihara doesn't even show, Mihara was actually the only one of the Faiz Riders that actually managed to get a longterm happy ending. Kusaka died, Kiba died and Takumi is dying by the end of Faiz and later does end up dead in a Kamen Rider special which I will not spoil. Mihara however now has a home he built with his own hands, a job and goal he is passionate about, an actual love interest and a long life ahead of him. In the entirety of Faiz, Mihara actually came out as the ultimate winner.

how far are you in gotchahard and are you enjoying it? as for recommendations, honestly whichever show's aesthetics you find to be cool is generally a good start, usually you'll get an idea of the rider's aesthetics if you watch one of those "every heisei main rider henshin and finisher" compilation videos on youtube (the reason why i say aesthetics is because a show like w isn't good if you want a legit detective drama despite it using detective-y noir-y aesthetics. don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty damn good superhero show, just not a good detective drama). the reason i asked you about your opinions on gotchahard earlier is because if you liked it or if you wish the high school aspect of it was utilised more then i believe that fourze would be an excellent choice for you.... though i am a heisei nut, i haven't finished any of the showa shows so i can't give you a recommendation based on black or black rx, assuming that you enjoyed them to begin with. sorry for the long ass response

I like Gotchard so far. Including the theme of the show is about goals and dreams. Including Kudo’s arc of making her own rules. I do wonder how kid Hotaro went alchemy world and knows alchemy before Mr. Kudo(Kudo’s dad) erase his memories. Did Hotaro’s dad put Hotaro in Alchemy world or something? I did like Kamen Rider Black and RX. I before the watching show, I read the manga. I don’t understand why the manga ended on a cliffhanger. Thanks for the recommendation of Fourze.

I'll second the Build recommendation. I just finished that and it's really really good. I was a big fan of the Shin Kamen Rider movie that came out last year too if you want something shorter (though it might be better appreciated with some context as to what the original show/manga were). My first rider series was Geats which is free on Shout Factory and that show is solid as well. Shout Factory also has the original Kamen Rider, Kuuga, Ryuuki, and Zero One alongside Geats for free streaming.

Kaitaro failed to be faiz but he successfully transformed into kaixa. Other belt holders die transforming into kaixa. But kaitaru is unique kaixa belt die after transforming with kaitaro whahahhahahah
