I remember when I was a kid and this song was current listening to my dad endlessly crabbing on about the logic to the lyrics.

Man i can relate to this song..a million times over,,,, but i did think he was a bit of here singing

Yeah, of course Royce's mic was hotter than usual OR the house mix translation...etc.; the bright side is that for musicians who may need to cover this, whether they're working with Jeannie herself or others, it's like a XMas present giving no doubt as to what Royce's line was. For me, his pivot-note/sus thing that he does sitting on, "strong" on the turnarounds is like The Hook of the damn song...

It sounds better this way, IMO

You are obviously a professional musician.

The mix variation intentional or not gives us fans a glimpse into the vocal harmony that showcases Royce’s vocal talent that has been hidden by Jeannie’s powerful voice. Also helps solve the harmony riddle this wannabe singer could never solve. 😀

Royce's mike is too high. The harmony almost drowns out the melody.

@827065276 жыл бұрын
It's just the mix in this instance...Royce's part was perfect when it was just underneath as was intended, as in the record...
