The real mystery - we still don’t know who killed the dog of Sir Thomas at the beginning of the movie. Don’t think it was Arthur Coe as he was busy with the gal next door, Brisbane should have been at the train station…..therefore

Another viewer who had read the book added someplace that the secretary killed the dog when he went over to the kennel to pick up the niece, and found out she had gone off with Sir Thomas. More jealous rage stuff on his part.
