The Kettlebell Snatch

The kettlebell snatch teaches the basics of powerful hip and leg extension, which is then transferred into the upper extremities. The position of the hips and spine, as well as the concept of midline stabilization under load, is shared with many other powerful lifts, such as the barbell deadlift, clean, and snatch. The kettlebell snatch offers a less technical gateway to other dynamic weightlifting techniques and serves as a valuable conditioning tool.

its supposed to be two handed snatches, its an advance movement and im lowkey struggling. the snatch alone is a advance movement if you’re not practicing kettlebells, the two handed snatch is even more so lol

Each arm. Tho hamza said he does both arms at the same time. So you could either do 50 per, or 50 together both at once

If you know proper technique you will barely feel it in your forearm and it'll be super safe. Problem is this video was very bad in explaining what to do.

@bag101
@bag101 Жыл бұрын
I (slightly) agree with this comment. Once you work up to a certain weight (say, modestly, 50lbs), then failure to adequately control the catch can hurt your forearms, especially if you're working with high reps where form breaks down. This is why I generally prefer to rotate the KB handle around the forearm when demonstrating the snatch, and what I teach in class. That said, you can properly catch a big KB (say 100+lbs) overhand without damaging the wrist if you execute the arm extension with proper control.

KB swings are hip movements, they end at shoulder level max. Snatches are movements that lift weights over the head.
