This tutorial on the kettlebell snatch was really well done. It's such a challenging move but so rewarding once you get the hang of it.

Man, I swear you're psychic or something. I was working on the snatch this morning. The snatch is the one exercise I struggled with, especially when doing so on my weaker left side (hand/arm/shoulder) I figured out what I was doing wrong and managed to complete 10 reps on my left side.

I'm finally starting to understand the snatch and not ripping my hand as much. Thanks to you and this video. I practiced a lot of half snatches, using a leather glove until I understood when and how to release my grip on the way down without pulling my skin off.

Awesome, I was waiting for a detailed video on the snatch, since I’ve been doing it in all your workouts, but always doubted my form. This will - Lord-willing - improve it. Thank you so much as usual for all the free content you put out. SDG P.s.: y’all should watch (and like) the „ask me anything stream“ Gregory did. I’ve rarely seen such an honest and straightforward take on kettlebell sports and business. There are too many kb coaches that claim that any other workout routine or tool must never be blended into kb, but my brother over here keeps it real, even when he talks about the sale of his own brand of kettlebells!

i never use chalk always grip the bell in the heel of my hand and open my hand in the rack press and snatch The snatch is a heavy cardio exercise its sprinting standing on the spot a real killer if you do doubles , have a bucket standing by

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Some instructors make a big deal out of pulling back the shoulder or shruging during the upward phase. It that something you think about? Your shoulder seems to stay in a natural neutral position.

The shoulder pull is like opening a fridge. It‘s a good cue that is hard to see; but nevertheless has its place. 🔥
@ernielambert74196 ай бұрын
His explanations and demos go against all other training. The clean is usually done with a "zipping up the jacket" move. In other words, it does not swing out from the body. Same with the Snatch. I have Pavel's Return of the Kettlebell, and he definitely shows the arm bending, not swinging away from the body. If you watch Grregory, you see he has to lean backwards to counter the bell swinging out. Not safe for most lifters.

In Kettlebell Sport it’s all about preserving energy and enabling the bell to go through with its own momentum. It’s far more technical that’s for sure. You could look up kbfitbritt (a former pro) to see that he isn’t the only one to explain it this way - two different philosophies…
@eamonob845 ай бұрын
That’s actually the correct technique for kettlebell sport. The leaning is very common and if you watch kettlebell sport athletes, you’ll see almost all of them doing it. Not dangerous at all if you’re intentional and doing correct form.

Thanks for the video! I’ve been trying to master the snatch for a while, I’m able to snatch 28 for a few reps, however, getting the kettlebell down absolutely RIPS my hands, it’s so freaking hard to get the grip right.
