The Keurig K-Select is one of the best selling Keurig devices released in recent years, it bridges the gap between the low end Keurig machines and the high end Keurig coffee makers and in my opinion is one of the best values in the entire Keurig lineup. I have mine set to the hottest temp setting here in San Diego. But after adding the cream, I still have to put my coffee cup in the microwave for 1 minute to get it nice & hot.

Thanks didn't realize the puffy top on the pod was what was causing grounds to spit out. I'm not at high elevation (463') but my coffee pods I get from Amazon are always puffy.

Found this vid looking for tips to fix my K80 because it won’t turn on. The auto-off disable and high-altitude button combos actually work, so I know the thing is getting power. It just won’t turn on so I can make a cup of coffee. Anyone got any advice?

Great info but do you know a way to start the descale mode on the select? On every other model there is a descale process that the machine goes through but I can't find a way to activate the setting on the select.

great review as always. based on your review I got a Keurig supreme because it doesn't make that many noise so I don't wake up the whole house when I brew the coffee in the morning at 5:00. however, I don't see a descaling video on the Keurig supreme I saw one for the k mini. would you talk more about the case supreme like the hidden function?

Interesting... Proper coffee temp is 195-205 F degrees. No wonder why the taste is so different. The "refill" pods are strong enough to withstand temps to 200 F degrees.

My K-Select only brews at 172 degrees F when I check it with a thermometer in the mug. This is even when the high altitude setting is disabled. The machine is new. Is my machine defective? That temperature seems low to me.

@G W My issue has to do with the actual brewing temp. Since the newer machines have temp control they may be better. I have pretty much given up on K machines and I much prefer French press. You never know I may try again at a later date.

I have the older Supreme. My reservoir blinks and is full of water. The computer says to Prime but I cant even brew. All lights are lit and I do hear a noise like it's trying when I turn the power on but then it blinks..any help would greatly be appreciated

If an air bubble gets in the waterline from the reservoir, the machine malfunctions. Mine did this, I fixed it with a machine reset. How to reset a Keurig: Turn the machine off and unplug it for a few hours until cold. Remove the water reservoir from the machine and allow the brewer to sit unplugged for 5-10 minutes without the water reservoir. Power up the machine, then replace the water reservoir.

always brew a cup of hot water first to pre heat your mug. this also flushes out the goo from the previous cup.

Mine was a gift. Otherwise I wouldn't spend a cent to buy one. Weak coffee that is luke warm at best. Horrible contraptions.
