Hi, Does the Walmart version for $29 include the reusable mesh filter for ground coffee instead of buying the k cups? Thank you in advance.

YES!! Keurigs ABSOLUTELY DO make GOOD coffee; ONLY coffee SNOBS, like THIS guy, think otherwise! If he doesn't think a Keurig makes "good" coffee, then WHY does he even BOTHER using one? Just DON'T use the pre-filled coffee pods, (they're not eco-friendly). They're also expensive. Use reusable K-cups and buy your own good-quality coffee. THAT'S the "secret" to getting GOOD coffee from a Keurig.
@LACT42811 күн бұрын
That pod coffee makers such as Keurig don't "make coffee nearly as good as traditional stove top moka, French press, and pour-over coffee," and that "all of the traditional methods make 'better' coffee," depends on your definition of "better." To me, it's just snobbery. From what little I know about moka-pot coffee, which I've researched, it sounds more like brown sludge than coffee. That's not MY definition of "better." French press coffee raises your cholesterol, that's not MY definition of "better," either. I have a Keurig and I wouldn't have anything else. I DON'T use the pre-filled K-cups; they're not eco-friendly. I use the the reusable pods and buy my own coffee. That makes a big difference, too. Just use reusable K-cups and buy good-quality coffees. My Keurig doesn't have a "Strong/Bold" button, and I'm not going to toss my current Keurig just because it doesn't have one. My coffee comes out just FINE without it. I DON'T NEED it. Coffee that's TOO strong is BITTER, NOT better! I use tap water in my coffee, but I have a well, too. I just make sure the water gets as cold as it can get. DO NOT USE BOTTLED WATER!! Doing that just contributes to the ever-growing single-use plastics crisis. No, you do NOT need to do a "rinse cycle," at least not if you use reusable K-cups. I've had my current Keurig for almost four years and use it daily. I've NEVER done a "rinse cycle" on it, my machine's NEVER clogged, and my coffee tastes great! I've also NEVER used vinegar in in my Keurig. I've read that using vinegar may alter the taste of your coffee, and we DON'T want THAT! As for "old water in your tubing breeding bacteria," well, that's just nonsense! As I've said, I've NEVER done a vinegar rinse, and I've never gotten sick from my coffee maker, either. Doing a vinegar rinse will NOT make your coffee taste better, unless you LIKE the taste of vinegar in your coffee, I DON'T!

I've used other K-Elite brew systems and have never had an issue. I'm curious what is the benefit to poking the bottom of kcup? Seems a little OCD to me. I've never had any of the other mentioned "issues" so I'm thinking that you have a defective system.
@46fd0414 күн бұрын
To keep the needle from clogging, press the KCup down onto the lower needle and puncture the bottom of the KCup, and then press the handle down puncturing the top of the KCup.

Great video series. I am on a mission to brew a ( rich tasting ) cup of coffee so rich you could chew on it. Currently I have a keurig supreme plus with multi stream technology and I bounce around with different K cups. Starbucks and Illy have been the best that I have found, After watching your vid I see I can improve a bit on what I am doing. I will use the strong button and assess my water quality or taste. I will also check out your k cup suggestions. If you have any suggestions for a rich tasting k cup please let me know. Thank you

I still the first generation Keurig and it's still working. They are the best. The original manual also teach you how to descale the machine with vinegar. No need to buy their descaling product. I think they were the best.

I was hoping by taking off the red gasket my coffee wouldn’t be so weak. I brew using 8 oz and it’s still very light with little flavor. I even did a descaling. I don’t like strong coffee but mine is too weak and light. Thank you for this clarification.

Keurig have got to be the absolute worst at designing these things. I can't decide whats worse, design or quality as I've gone through 4 models they all break down. Time to look elsewhere I think.

My issue is I keep it at my 2nd home. Sometimes it'll go awhile between uses. Several times I put water in, start it up and it overheats dying. I have to take it apart to reset the fuse, then it works fine. Why do they have the breaker internal?

My Keurig K-Supreme started to occasionally make tears in the k-cup foil after closing the lid. This will produce coffee in my coffee cup. I couldn't find anything on this so I contacted Keurig for some answers but they didn't have any and just sent me a new coffee maker. Even with the new K-Supreme it's still tearing the tin foil. So obviously the problem is the k-cup itself which I purchased on eBay. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a britta filter and grind my own grounds with reusable cup. I run a cup of water through with nothing in the machine before I brew, as well. I do have kcups from amazon but YOUR ARE CORRECT, they get stale and some of them taste watered down as well, even with measuring water. Thank you for the video!

Agreed with most tips, except strength... that is very much a personal taste. Some pods at 6 or 8oz you might as well stuff an old dirty sock in that holder. Newer Keurig models have a lower water temp with the heating coil system, thus coffee isn't anywhere as flavourable as it was with the older style models. They are also much less dependable lasting a fraction of the time they used to, if they continue on this producing todays junk that lasts a year at best, its only a matter of time they'll suffer when people go back to cheaper, better ways of making coffee.
