Cheers, I love all your videos and really enjoy the golf course vids and now bowling green. I have a small putting green and a chipping green. I put on a water agent and seaweed treatment this afternoon. First treatments of the year. On my Putting green i have problems with fairly rings come July. Hoping monthly treatments and a scarify and aeration later in spring will stop the Fairy rings. I enjoy the challenge . I live in the north east of Scotland just north of Aberdeen. Keep up the good work👍🏼

I always thought its too early to seed fescue and bent , as they need higher temps to germinate so always good to see different ways to work with it. They've got some great equipment there too.

You need to factor in not all of it will grow. They know that.

The location of this bowling green is very close to the coast, I have several lawn mowing customers in this area with palm trees that really thrive, seems to be a little micro climate.

Fascinating insight, especially as I drive past this green at least twice a week, to see inside is brilliant. Though perhaps a viewer discretion warning? I was quite upset when I saw a brand new ton bag of sand being sliced open 😞
@Premier_lawns_official2 жыл бұрын
I felt this same if it's an consolation. But I seen both bags going to the scrap heap

Greetings from Osoyoos, BC, Canada. Thank you for the video Robbie my question is the “fleece” that you put in the corners what is it made of? I need that for our green here as we have a couple of bare patches. Our climate in the summer is generally very hot and dry so I think that may help with that problem. I was thinking of just putting down plastic.
@Premier_lawns_official Жыл бұрын
It needs to be something that water and light can pass through, what you are after is 'horticulture fleece' go on amazon or ebay and type that in...

That looks amazing Robbie. I have a green we look after but it’s not a patch on that. However our budget is low for product purchase which isn’t ideal.

Hi Robbie, thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them. I have a question. I live in London and I laid a new lawn only in September last year. I can see there is some moss in the lawn, but given it’s a new lawn I don’t think I should scarify? Maybe some aeration and then some fertiliser? What do you think please?
@Premier_lawns_official2 жыл бұрын
Great question, the moss, disappointing to see moss come in so soon, maybe look and see if you can let more light in to the lawn. Definitely aerate those areas and feed the lawn

Never ever use sand as a top dressing on bowling greens
@Premier_lawns_official2 жыл бұрын
Why is that
@chosen1one930 Жыл бұрын
Overseeding isva waste of time, all greens in America are filled in naturally meaning the grass creeps and fills in any ball marks, aeration holes, grooming verticutting, when this is done the grass is healthier, newer cultivars of putting green turf stand up right while also creeping. Verticutting/grooming and lightly topdressing every other moday to manage thatch, this in turn creates a fast smooth player surface, walk mowing every day but usually not monday, double cutting can be done, mowingnat a height of .1000 and rolling greens as needed. I only roll greens once a week and green speeds stay inbetween 11 to 13, this depends on any rain or extra moisture in the greens
