One of my favourite parts of Tekken is seeing someone lose miserably at first. Gather data and then become an unstoppable killing machine.

There's a strong undercurrent of respect in this video for the Dragunov player despite that person using such a hated character. To study and adapt to what your opponent is doing is to also appreciate the changes they themselves are making in response to your own adjustments. To recognize the mental tug of war that is happening, and genuinely respect how clever they're being. It's a beautiful thing to go from "I'm so frustrated, I have no idea how to deal with what's happening" to "I see what they did there, that's so damn smart. Now how do I adjust in turn?" the more we learn and get better at the game. Another excellent video. Cheers, MC

Not sure why people hate him...he was so bad in T7 but got a few buffs and everyone hates him. But then you got characters like Victor

This is the best match analysis video I've ever seen! Please make this a series and make more of them! Guides are good for beginners and low level players, but I feel like for intermediate players trying to break into the higher ranks, what they need to learn (other than matchups) is how to think and how to adapt to your opponents. And these style of videos really help with that. Thanks!

Those analysis videos are the best thing ive ever found regarding tekken! I think after youve understood your own character it can be very overwhelming trying to learn all the other characters moves that give you trouble so you explaining your thoughts and adjustments is so valuable! Sensational video! I loved to understand your thought process, how you made adjustments for your gameplan, that's something I struggle a lot with and this video was an amazing insight to how to do it myself! And it was also a great story breakdown of the fall, the rise and the victory of a single set!

I love how you said that just keep strings in mind during pressure 😊 because I think when you have offensive advantage in this game we do tend to go for strings because to keep repeated plus frames and true airtight mixups you have to spend resources aka heat which will dissipate eventually. So people try to knowledge check to keep their advantage but if you know the strong you can catch them sleeping on you. You will get your turn but like you said be patient!! Really good analysis

Not really outside of style points and overloading your opponent with different stances, you can use it to duck under high/mid mixups and get a slightly better punish 👍👍

@MishimaComplex
@MishimaComplex 4 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s a really good option that i want to start using more, I’ve been doing 3+4 > ws4,4d as a wall combo which works really well. 3+4 spikes so the opponent can’t tech roll, and if they do anything except stay still (or maybe tap up) then ws4,4 hits them, then you get a HW mixup 👍 thanks for your support! 🙏

how did you do unsoku 4 so quickly at around 3:40? i'm trying to replicate it, but it just doesn't come out without giving itself away in the stance transition edit: oh also, since i haven't seen any reina videos covering them so far, do you have any combos for when the opponent has their back turned mid-air, like when you ground break using her 1+3 throw?
@MishimaComplex
@MishimaComplex 4 ай бұрын
F2 then hold down or up puts you in unsoku stance 👍 For backturn combos unfortunately all of Reina’s normal combo routes don’t work pretty much, I’ll usually do F2,3F>SEN1+2>ender but I’m sure there’s something more optimal 👊

@@MishimaComplex oh actually update, found an improvement over that combo, you can actually sneak in an electric before the f2,3F for an extra 8 damage edit: interestingly, doing electrics will sometimes put you on the other side of the character, i don't know the conditions but if you time it right you should be able to get a nearly-full combo out of it? edit 2: also, SSL into d/f+2 will correct the angle the opponent is at and allow for a somewhat normal combo, but i'm not familiar enough with her combo tools to know if there's a better one, but it can at the very least do 61 damage + afford you the u/f+3+4,2 ender for wallsplats, if there's an opportunity to use them
