Deliberately make contact with defender! Great point. Yes, we love the plays when the driver gets by untouched. But most of us don't have the quickness/skill to count on no contact. Initiating contact (without charging, of course) is essential to driving, post moves, dribble control, so many aspects of the offensive game.
@devvv46165 жыл бұрын
one very useful tip that most nba players use nowadays, esp. stars like Lebron, Harden, PG, is bump them with your shoulders while taking that last dribble then gathering and laying the ball with your two hands, with the off arm extending a bit. If they try to block, they hit the offarm instead and you get the foul. Most of the time that offarm and that flared elbow deters them from even attempting to. This is why they're so good at finishing without having to do all that circus shot Kyrie has to do to finish

1)I found mastering the art of pinching is a wonderful tool 2) when opponent shooting jumpshot, lunge forward while screaming like you are getting ready to tackle them instead of trying to block, a weak minded player will always miss this jumper out of fear, is he gonna tackle me 3) post players(dirty) battling for position down low, shot misses you jump I tug your shorts just enough they fall down. This like anything else can be mastered. 4)always be aware of where refs are. 5) freethrows are lay ups.

7:00 jab, attack top foot, create contact early, keeping ball away from the defense. Finish opposite side to use rim as shield. pro tip - (Get to the rim in two dribbles). 7:26 jab step in between the legs of the defender if they playing you up close 7:40 use your off hand to swipe at the defender when they reach. 7:53 rolls off the defense body and use a stiff off hand on their hip to jail them and go into a finish on opposite side 8:05 side steps to create an agreement and explodes into the lane.
