Thank you for your excellent teaching, it is clear and concise and gives me confidence that I can do this.

Wonderful demonstration and explanation of developing an artist’s eye, the preparation for, and stages of how to get to the painting of what you’ve seen. This video walks you through a two day in person workshop that you would pay dearly for. And with the ability to take your time and rewatch etc. so impressive, thank you.

You did an amazing job. The value change in the road really pulled it altogether to me. Thank you for the demonstration. It truly makes you appreciate different values and time an effort a good painting requires.

Very clear explanation of difficult concepts. Values, warm/cool contrast, features of brushes, focal areas, layers of paintings, and all so articulately conveyed. Thank you!

Love your tutorial. What program are you using on your iPad. I noticed the color swatches on the side of the photo. Thanks.

I created that reference image using Photoshop on my desktop computer. I'm thinking about do a video on that topic. Stay tuned. Thanks for the question. ~Kris

Here is my follow-up video in which I demonstrate how I used Photoshop to create a color reference. I take sample colors from the original reference image and create swatches of color around the edge of the photo. Give it a try: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH7Um5qhgLpnjdE
