Since it wasn't clear The plane isn't bad the matchmaker is because every match is 14.0. When i say the derby is one the worst fox 3 I am not saying it's a useless missile it does fine like a R77 but they just lack compared to the opposition. Good reward to skip the isreali grind but in the current matchmaker it isn't great to fly. Once we get 14.3 it will probably be pretty good.

The C10 is really the answer to the question of whether the airframe actually matters at top tier. I guess the answer is, sort of. Definitely noticing the lack of options and resources you have in a sustained fight compared to the Rafale.

Thats why it needs its historical missile loadout: Python-4 atleast to be More on pair with the competition specially in uptiers when a lot of People abuse multipath and you cant do much against multipathing targets, Rafales destroys you, Typhoons destroys you, atleast 2 Python-4s combined with 2 Derbys would be a better take to fight in uptiers.

I actually think this is the best reward plane we have gotten all year. Weird that most CCs think it's mid-bad when everybody who goes up against it says it's undertiered and everyone who jas one, myself included, really likes it. Sometimes I feel like the community doesn't know what it wants. Price aside, the J37DI is a pretty good premium plane, and a lot of the same complaints about that are mirrored here: it's good in some areas, bad in others, overall "meh." But isn't that what the community has always wanted with premiums and event vehicles? Make them too strong, then it's P2W or unfair for those who miss the event. These vehicles IMO are meant to give you access to these tiers of vehicles without having to grind a tech tree equivalent, and I think the C.10 is a great plane for this reason. It's got good missiles, HMD, and can also provide CAS in GRB, and is a perfect plane to jump into top tier for Israel in ARB/ASB and to round out GRB lineups while people grind for something like the Ra'am.

the derby's strength is it's sub 10km speed. anything that can match it is sarh, so when considering you can immediately go defensive against these while the enemy can't, you still win. not sure if fakour can beat it, but that's easy enough to dodge.

I think if they were to give it Python 4s it would be so much better. Gaijin doesn't really think through some of their choices, putting this plane at a BR where it can face Eurofighters, but also F4s in a full downtier wasn't a great move. They should have atleast given it a buff and moved it up to 13.3 IMO.

My biggest gripe about the C10 is the fact that at 13.0 it has no chaff stock, where as some other planes gets chaff stock with flares. Sure, you can say "skill issue" or "just GE it" The Derby's aren't great. I think my luckiest long range kill was done at sub 40km's, the rest under 8km's. If you want to get something for Israel, rather get the Kfir Canard, sure it only has 2 x Aim 9 J's, however it is extremely fast and fun to play with, and in a downtier it is criminally good (I think it sits at 11.0 - 11.3 currently). that being said I'm no Defyn or Ace pilot.

I’m a new player to war thunder, started about a week ago.. what got me into it was seeing edits about jets (mostly F-16s, A-10s and Su fighters).. I’m at rank 4 in the US tt, rank 2 in ussr and sweden.. now that the holidays are over I can’t really grind that hard anymore however I really really want a jet and I plan to buy a premium vehicle… but I’m still not sure which nation to really focus and grind on.. the SU-33 for 8.2k GE really got my attention, idk if it’s good for grinding tho, also the A-10 and the F-5c and the Kfir Canard (just to grind out that F-16).. and my question is which one should I buy?

Su33 doesn't have talisman. Buy a premium jet at 50% discount next time, most likely May or June. What you want to buy depends on what you really want to get to on a tech tree. Let's say if you desired getting a f22 (it will come to WT eventually) get yourself f4s. Vice versa for other nations if you like a particular planes to unlock.

I really don't have it but I have mig23 in German tech tree. It's enjoyable but not the greatest if that make sense.

I would disagree on the derby being the worst fox-3. or that is… it still performs within 12km, speaking from personal experience. But sure. It doesn’t pull like the Mica or R77, and it can’t range like the Aim120 or PL-12/SD-10. however I do get tons of kills with this missile. That being said people still haven’t learned to defeat missiles sufficiently and confidently. People sorta just try and notch while dumping all their chaff, showing that they don’t really understand the mechanic yet. I guess this is why they still perform for me. Enough yapping. But in certain areas the R-Darters/Derby missiles (Theyre identical as far as I can tell) can do things perhaps the AIM-120 cannot, especially when shooting from an angle. Again they are in a place where they do not have the greatest range, or the best maneuverability, but are sort of a jack of all trades

The derby DOES NOT have "absolutely abysmal range", not even close. This is a *very* common misconception and I think it comes from people looking at the code without understanding exactly what the numbers mean. The drag values *look* very different, but the way it actually runs in the game, all of the fox3s have virtually the same range. According to a-change-in-rocket-dynamics-as well-as-a-comparison-of-v0-ox, fired at 10k ft mach 1, an aim120 will travel 32km over its 70s flight time. A derby travels 28km in that same time. Same as the r77. A 4km difference after SEVENTY SECONDS of flight time. As a human, you'd never even be able to tell the difference.

And also as far as I can tell, it doesn't have bad maneuverability either. This i could be wrong about since I'm only looking at the code, and I just said the code can be very deceiving. But as far as it looks and I'm aware, it at the very least has more maneuverability than the amraam. And nobody seems to have complaints with that one.

The range of a missile in a straight line doesn't directly correlate with its drag. And you will rarely see a target, that will just fly straight into a missile without maneuvering and trying to evade it at all.

1. the R-60M and R-60MK are the same the MK is just the export version of the M 2. flareflo's missile sheet is i think the closest thing that exists to what your talking about, it lists the stats in a sheet and you can filter what order they're put in and which missile types your looking at

This Jet at 12.7 nah that just seems to high compared to what its up against and fact most games are usually uptiers and only 4 AAM and a kind low count for the cannon and this C10 seems like around 1400km/h its gonna start to tell u its gonna rip apart. So facing jets that can handle more speed than that and average 6 AAM to 8 of em and some have 10 with a lot more distance. this at 12.0 or 12.3 might have been a little better.

Sry did u just said that the derby is bad? Derby pull very hard ofc not like the mica but there is no other fox 3 that can pull as hard exept the r77 that lose all the speed It had And maybe it doesnt have the best range but it isnt bad either u can bvr with it with no issue in high alt and the acceleration is excellent.

fox3s with short ranges are r77, mica and derby. out of these 3 it has the worse short range performance so it doesnt really standout in any way

this has been the trend for the past couple years worth of events. Not worth doing a single one of them. Even the vehicles that people love that I do have I don't even play (i.e. IS-7, BI) because people tend to over-dramatize how good they are (they might be good to some degree, but I'm not going to play any event vehicle I have just for funsies after theyre spaded because they're earth-shatteringly good - they're not). I didn't even attempt this event, and oh look at this, not worth it. No regerts. Not even a single letter. Closest you come to earth-shatteringly good is BI in a full downtier. But at that point, I don't even find that kind of match fun. Why would I want to play that kind of match? I don't have self-esteem issues that make me want to bully people.
