8:11 The Harrier has an H2O injection system which pumps water into the engine to lower the JPT(jet pipe temperature) and allows higher RPM and power output, IRL this system is only activated for short-range/vertical take-off and landing, where higher engine thrust gives more margin for errors. Once the water is used up, the engine will overheat on maximum thrust. H2O injection is activated above ~92% throttle, if the maximum thrust is put at 100% throttle. So as you said, people should keep the throttle at 92% when flying Harriers, at least when not in a dogfight.

Getting 6 kills in ground rb is still way worse than 4 kills in air rb Like in air rb the enemy team has 16 players, so getting 4 kills means you killed 1/4 of the enemy team In ground rb, the enemy still has 16 players, tho they can respawn like 2, 3, 4 or even more often and thus have an entirety of between 32 and 64 vehicles So lets say on average it’s 48 vehicles, then killing 6 people is just 1/8 of the enemy And on top you can respawn as well, so the game isn’t completely over for you as soon as you die So 4 kills in air RB are more similar to 12 or even more ground kills Meaning that getting 3k rp for 6 ground kills isn’t that unfair Because as you see, a premium plane at a quite high br of 9.7 together with premium time, gives you 12k for 4 kills and thus 6k for 2 kills Without a premium plane or premium time or even a high br plane, that would be like 3-4K rp I don’t know if your tank was at a high br as well and if the tank is premium and if you got premium time But I would expect that you don’t got all 3 of these aspects So all in all 3k rp for 6 ground units, probably without double premium and not a high br tank, is not bad at all and very similar to air rb rewards Though I also experienced the ground tree way harder to grind but that’s probably because Im at 8.0 br rn after a lot of grinding and because I’m just a blind German main and am very bad at ground rb My best ever game was 10 kills (even got a nuke but the game ended prematurely) And in air rb I got a ton of games with 5 kills (would be similar to 15 ground) and even a few 6 kills (similar to 18 ground) So just don’t play ground at all because it’s just point and click anyways and not as fun as air

I just did some research, the 10 kill ground rb game I talked about was actually a: 6.7 br game (tiger 2h, leKPz m41) 9 ground kills 1 assist 2 zones captured And 14:13min of play time With a total of 5.764 rp (no premium vehicles, no premium time) So with that logic i just explained, 9 kills in ground rb at 6.7 are like 3 kills in air rb at 6.7 So 5,7k rp for 3 kills in air rb at 6.7 So 11,4k rp for 6 kills in air rb at 6.7 One of the 6 kill air rb Games was a: 11.0 br game (mig21bis-SAU and stock btw with only 2 r3rs and 2r60mks) 6 air kills 1 landing 2 takeoffs And 17:46min of play time With a total of 16.614 rp (no premium vehicle, no premium time) So the expected 11,4k rp are close to the actual 16,6k rp And considering the mig21 is at a way higher br, it’s probably closer together and most likely very very similar

​@HeinrichDerGrosse1298 I agree on it being easier to get kills in ground -generally- but the time aspect for ground is why the rp rewards there need tweaking, I haven't played ground in fucking ages because the rewards are garbage, a high tier air game can be about 5 minutes long, and if you're in a prem jet with prem time you can be looking at about 10k rp on average, whereas your average ground game is like 15-20 minutes, and you'll pull in like 8k on a good game you're looking at about 4x the time in game for almost 1/2 the reward which i think is ridiculous

As someone who’s almost done with Japan air (not counting thai subtree since it’s not required for rank unlock rn), just use the Thai f5e with a talisman, it’s essentially a premium with no SL bonus

Hey man... Can u make some guides for players who are transitioning from props to jets? I am at that stage and don't know shit about what to do. Especially turnfighting in the zeros to getting blacked out every few secs is getting me killed

The same thing that applies to US props in general applies to jets. Get fast and stay fast. US props like the P-51 and P-47 are best flown a lot like jets. This doesn't mean don't dogfight when it is appropriate. Just that speed is life. If you aren't zooming around in P-51s and P-47s you are doing it wrong. Same thing for virtually every jet. Only jet exception really being the P-59. In early jets altitude is still life insurance. Aka climb in early jets but best climb in jets is north of 300mph regardless of the jet, or whatever the equivalent is for what you use. Once you get around the point of supersonic jets altitude isn't really that relevant anymore unless you are slinging missiles that have their own radar or from above trying to catch opposing players unaware of missiles from above. Another important distinction in jets is that they have poor thrust at low speeds and generate maximum thrust at high speeds. Props are the opposite. Players that know how to exploit this in early jets like Me-262s and He-162s are completely untouchable to any props no matter how skilled the prop pilot. This is why no current in game jet should face a prop. Get someone that isn't an idiot in a jet and it is untouchable. Back to the relevant tip: in jet gameplay avoid getting slow (sub ~300mph) as much as possible because jet engines provide crap thrust at low speeds and a majority of jets become whales below about 300mph. Finally change your speed to TAS for jets. You want IAS for props as IAS is critical for props but TAS for jets because jets only care about TAS. This is why a majority of the better players in game run both, so they don't have to switch.

@@Pinaka120 Increase the G-lock pilot skill level of your crews. To play in jets your G-lock pilot skill has to be maxed out more or less or you will just black out regularly making you more or less useless. The most important pilot skills, in order, are; vitality, G tolerance, stamina, keen vision and awareness. Technically stamina and keen vision are basically 50/50 but the higher in BR you go the more relevance stamina has over keen vision. As for getting guns on target the rate of speed of jets is way higher than it is in props. Adjusting your aim will take time but suffice to say that you need to start shooting earlier than you think you need to.

Seasoned AV8-A user here, nowadays I get around 3000 score each game (its pretty consistent performance unless I keep getting up-tiers) with 4-5 kills and 2 napalm drop on a base sometimes twice in one game. I can't recommend this plane, tho don't take this as me gate keeping something good. This plane requires high skill to understand and the general knowledge of what you are fighting for example you kill the weaker ones first like mig21s since they don't have flares at your BR, the guns are awful for a turn fight but in a head on you will ALWAYS (carry air target only) win unless you mess up or don't turn out quick enough. Avoid hunters unless they are completely oblivious, avoid J35Ds you will be in their BR from time to time. If you are looking for a premium jet to buy for japan the F4j is a much better option since its point and click missiles do 90% of the work. All in all the AV8-A/S/C are good planes but require a bit of time to get used to.
