One at a time might take forever but that would be really special father/kid time right at Christmas. You could even buy their special ornament at the same time. If you start as soon as Christmas stuff goes up in stores (at this point, early November) you could do one kid every five days and still have time!

Yes I agree that this method was probably the best other than taking them one by one. The only other way would be the big kids each taking a smaller kid in pairs. Thomas-Hannah etc. teams of 2 instead of 3. But teams of 3 is just as good and probably got it done faster. I love how patient everyone was, especially with Claudia and Sophia. It’s hard to see a whole bunch of things that you want for yourself and have to translate that into what you think someone else would like. Tom, I see how well your own systems and ideas are working and I just want to say, as I usually do, how proud you should be and how far you’ve come. Andrea would be so proud of how you’ve led your family and adapted to such a huge loss. Merry Christmas!!!!

They made some good gift choices! Next year, to make things easier, I would hand the older kids the cash to pay ($10 for each kid plus a bit more for tax) to save you from feeling like you have to run around quite as much. Maybe you can just require a quick check-in before they pay to approve purchases and prices?

An idea for shopping with the littles while on a budget.Write on piece of paper the amount they have to spend.$10.00 and since much of your life is shopping,lol,familiarize them with the posted price tags.Make it fun,like do flash cards they can each keep in their wallets/purses.And yes,I know they misplace them but we are doing as Andrea said,repeating or doing again,?disciplining their minds.Laughing so hard as Claudia smiled at having money left to get herself a candy bar!?Or Solly,lol.This was a great vlog Tom.So many touching moments as they put love into their choices for sibling.I cried watching Thomas.He continues to exhibit maturity and proactive in keeping Mills Market organized and looking great.That was such a place Andrea valued and took pride in.When you bring home groceries Thomas automatically starts separating bags and handles it all so well.You are continuing to bless us with love,hope and joy in these chaotic times.Thank you.I love you Mills family.Tom,I treasure our friendship.God bless each of you and keep you safe.🥰🙏❣️🎄
