I love looking at the History of the shows through the promos. 32:48 is my favorite. This signal is the end of the “Golden Age” as Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons and Animaniacs were gone and in their place came Anime. Histeria following with Batman Beyond became the new successors of the new era. And of course, Pokémon come round and everything is history.

It really was a changing of the guard. Pokémon indirectly started an anime arms race with its success, Not unlike the MMPR in '93. When Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, & Pokémon made their move, Children's TV was changed forevermore. *Old man's voice* : Let me tell you about the Mon Wars of '99, son. I was just starting 4th grade when it occurred. The Lightning Mouse Army against the Inferno Lizard Order. Lines were drawn. Pitting Friend against Friend, Sibling against Sibling, & even Parent against child. Playgrounds became veritable warzones. It was a requiem knell for western cartoons. Some had the common sense to run, Others got caught in the crossfire. The only people profiting from this, were the toy companies.

@@philipmarable8698 Hey, it's true though. Once Pokémon, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball Z took center stage, American action cartoons not named Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man were given the boot.

@@jefferyquick3280 Like I said. You’re not wrong. When Anime came out, I was in Jr. High at the time. So Pokémon was like a sink or swim franchise for my group of friends. I do remembers them going into Anime saying that it was more “adult.” But as a Looney Tunes fan, I have to admit it was devastating seeing Anime take the front. Ask Tom Ruegger (Animaniacs and Tiny Toons creator). He can give you a rant on how Anime pretty much ended the Looney Tunes.

@@philipmarable8698 Yeah. I read Ruegger's reddit. Considering the fact that Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and Freakazoid's humor often flew over the kid's heads, it was only Natural. Spielberg's last wb show, Hysteria, underperformed and was overbudget. I didn't really care about Histeria much. The characters were migraine-inducing. A part of me thanks Pokémon for canceling them. No offense.

Grew up watching Kids WB but as a when Pokémon came on I was not allowed to watch Pokémon because Anime used to draw woman inappropriately I watched The New Batman Superman Adventures Animaniacs Pinky & The Brain Men in Black because The Men in Black movie Sucked with Will Smith it was more of a comedy The Men in Black cartoon to me there was action I thought the Men in Black was cooler.
