I’m not saying I’m perfect either btw it’s just that I am a bit annoyed that you got annoyed at me for saying it was a joke in my first reply to you and started saying how am I supposed to know that. I knew that because a baby can’t wield a gun there was no need for you to reply back with that. You could have just said oh okay, maybe she was being serious or just not reply at all. Hope you understand, didn’t mean to offend honestly my tbh comment was a bit ott and I apologise but you didn’t need to reply back like that either saying that I’m not mature basically. Have a good day too, I hope there’s no hard feelings

@@ashleymcconnell3369 Sarcasm is a thing, remember? Nobody past the age of ten actually believes a human can naturally give birth to a man-made, mechanical object no matter what country they're from. And, no, people from other countries don't believe every single one of the 300 odd million people in America carry guns. That'd be idiotic. You're on the Internet, darling. Time to learn that America isn't some blessed country that has the only educated people in the world.

Okay, so he murders his daughter's fiance in cold blood and gets house arrest allowing him to continue to brutally abuse his wife and children for years to a point of causing that level of fear, and she gets 12 years for killing him so he can't kill her (even if it wasn't in the heat of the moment). @@maddie8415 And not watching the video even you can determine that the state was probably acting in their own best interest. If they imprisoned him they would be responsible for his health condition. They know nothing about his health condition however people who cannot walk to have multiple health issues that you may not be aware of. Just because they can't use those muscles down below their waist line as efficiently as we can and build them up like we can. I have a friend who's a quadriplegic But he does have 10% use of his hands he's an incomplete quadriplegic I guess. Anyway there are kind of medical conditions I knew he had that I helped him with but there were a lot that I didn't have any clue about that merely have to do with his inability to fully use his legs and he can people with partial paralyzation in their legs can have these issues more so with bowel movement blood flow and heart issues. And back in these times If that house done with other prisoners he likely would have been killed or abused which they would have been legally responsible for Also the way the Freakshow Community was back then I'm sure there was legitimate fear that they would try to bust him out. A lot of times he's traveling circuses we're seeing a lot like gypsies . Fun to watch during the day but you better lock up everything at night because the circus is in town Or the carnies as some say. With him on house arrest she could have left and gone to a relative's or something with the kids and he couldn't legally go after her and she would have been safe instead everyone stayed in that household. But these were different times

I agree, I wish it had ended better for his family. I mean there was not going to be justice any other way. He knew he could murder again and that he wouldn't go to prison. He'd murdered, beat his wife, children, grandchildren and his pregnant daughter. What a POS ! If he hadn't been killed, goodness knows what else he would have done.

This story was a blast from the past for me. Not really blast😳So I was born in 1964 and when I was probably 6 or 7 my family went to a fair in MD. They had a freak show tent and we went inside. I was young and didn't understand what I was about to see. It was The Lobster Boy and his family. I don't have a strong memory of it although I do remember the dad(I'm guessing) was Grady and a lobster girl and a normal lady. I remember being so frightened because they weren't friendly. This is so random that I came across your story. Also, Andre` the Giant was part of that freak show. I had a picture taken with him. I kinda feel that same scared feeling I did then just by talking about it. But anyway, thanks for the story and now you've heard from someone who actually saw the Lobster Family in person.

I'm 25 and from Tampa and lived very close to Gibsonton growing up. Grady's daughter, Kathy (who has the same condition as her father), worked at the pet store I would go to as a kid! I had no idea who her father was or her family history; I just remember she was always very sweet and helpful! I also remember there was a very, very tall person who worked there as well, so I am assuming it was owned by descendants of the freak shows. Just wanted to give a local's perspective because it becomes a lot less of some crazy, mythical horror story and just another local family's history. Thanks for not over-dramatizing it and being respectful of the members who are still very much alive and well!

Little thing about me: I was born with two extra thumbs on both of my hands basically have four thumbs. I had been nicknamed as a little crab for a short while but when I mean short while, I mean like for four minutes before my parents removed them. Learning this years later from the remaining scars that stay on my thumbs, it all made sense. I was upset because I had thought it would be cool, and I’m still a little upset, haha. But anyway, I would’ve gotten bullied I suppose if I had those two extra thumbs. But I thought I would share that! P.S. always love yourself no matter what you look like! What matters is what you truly are on the inside. ♥️💞✨

@nthgth 3 жыл бұрын
That's very interesting! Were they the same size as your "normal" thumbs? Did they have their own complete sets of skeletal and muscular components? (Maybe hard to know if you were still an infant at the time) It's fun to imagine what extra dexterity you might have had, but like you said, bullying might have been harsh, and who knows what effect that might've ultimately had on you. And good luck finding gloves with extra thumbs!

It always bothers me that it's "justified self defense" if you're lucky enough to win in the life or death struggle against your abuser only during the actual fight. If not, hey you're just another victim. But she suffered DECADES of the most horrible abuse, honestly believed he'd changed, and then realized she'd made a horrible mistake of taking him back that was gonna end up costing her life in the end. Yes, it WAS self defense, because the man was a known violent abuser and KNOWN murderer.

@@PrincessPheonix06 No, that condition cannot be cured by creams or lotions. They need to take a medication that is very aggressive on the body so they can only take it when the become adults. That means living your whole childhood and adolescence as "the alligator kid". I had a classmate back in HS with that had the condition. He looks almost normal nowadays because he can take the medication now. His skin looks very tight and shinny, that's all.

My dad (60) told me he saw the lobster boy when he was younger. It was at a show in New Jersey and he was the last one in the stand staring at the lobster boy as everyone was walking away due to the show being over, they made eye contact for a while and he said "Uh, okay sport" I asked him about the other crew members but he doesn't remember seeing any of them. This was so wild to learn
