The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. I just revisited Battle Born, 2 years after I bought the album and until this last weeks I just listened this song carefully and I have to say. This us the best and most underrated song in the album. I even remember that, the last time they came to Mexico, this was the last song they played at Foro Sol and I was disappointed that it wasn't "Flesh and Bone". Now, I can say that this one of the most epic songs I've ever listened.

Exactly. I think the album was very real to Brandon because it carries so much of who he is and where he's from. And that's what makes art relatable, you know? It doesn't necessarily have to be about your own life or experiences, but it isn't real to the author, it won't come out as real to the listener. And yes, the honest lyrics.
